Valley La Montanita Co-op Food Market

Amazing!! I went to the deli for a sandwich and the staff were very knowledgeable about ingredients containing gluten. The person who prepared my sandwich took the time to change gloves, clean preparation space, and even open a new avocado to make sure it had not been touched by gloves that touched gluten. Very caring people, plus a good selection of shelf stable gluten free goodies — everything from baguettes to fig newtons and eclairs. Literal oasis.

The Co-Op has a decent grocery selection of GF bread, frozen pizza and entrees, cookies, etc. But the deli is unbeatable. They offer delicious, fresh-baked GF cookies and muffins. They have some GF sushi options. The hot bar has beautifully-prepared breakfast and dinner options that have ingredients clearly labeled, and there are usually GF options. I have never been glutened by a Co-Op deli item, so I think they must have good practices.
