We came here after being newly diagnosed with celiac disease because of the great reviews regarding safety of cross contamination below. We just wanted our child to feel normal after a life changing diagnosis. Well, we told our waiter immediately we had celiac disease and needed to avoid any cross contamination. He seemed to take it seriously. We ordered GF cheese sticks, GF cheese pizza and GF pepperoni pizza. He noted celiac on each entree. The waiter left and I got my kids set up for waiting on food. I brought placemat barriers for the table and gluten free playdough to keep them busy. Not even a minute later the waiter brings out FULL GLUTEN DOUGH COVERED IN FLOUR and places it in front of my toddler who has celiac disease for him to play with. My two celiac children, of course, grab the dough and I panic. He then touches his GF playdough and i move the plate out of the way, have to throw away the GF (million dollar) playdough and the barrier I had just set up. Both kids have a meltdown because they can't play with either dough now and I have to take them to the bathroom to wash hands hoping this hasn't completely ruined our attempt to eat out. The waiter comes back and I ask "is this GF dough" to which he said "oh no! it's not" and my husband gives him back the plate. I wanted to cry. Honestly, this is completely unacceptable. After washing the third kids hands, I speak to the manager to verify the seriousness of our need for GF and a different waiter was extremely accommodating. But I have trust issues with the restaurant after the dough ball experience and I'm now just waiting for my household to start dropping like flies. I will say - if you're only gluten intolerant and choose to live a GF lifestyle, the GF pizza is awesome. But if you or your kids have celiac, it may or may not be safe depending on the waiter.

I LOVE Via 313! I loved their pizza before being diagnosed with Celiac disease and I love them now EVEN MORE after being diagnosed. I'm new to this and wanted to feel "normal" and have pizza. The website made me so at ease with being able to make things gluten free or dairy free due to an allergy I had that option. I called and they were so helpful and put me at ease with different trays, and designated gluten and dairy free cutters. I believe it's a separate prep area too. The food was delicious. We had the GF Bobo, Hawaiian and cheese sticks. I didn't get sick so that's the best of all! Thank you Via 313!!

Really good pizza. I had never had Detroit pizza before so nothing to compare it to. The gluten free crust is thick and airy. Not my favorite style of pizza but being gluten free the options aren’t abundant so it’s a nice change.
