Had a very questionable experience here. Our server was oblivious to what gluten was (she thought milk was gluten) and she seemed indifferent to the seriousness of allergies. Got lucky and didn't get sick but the staff here really need some allergy training.

Celiac friendly with gluten free items clearly marked on menu and quite a selection of options. Our server immediately asked about allergies and assured us about safety protocols. The food was really flavorful and I missed Indian food after having difficulty finding gluten free places near my home. The owner stopped by the table to introduce himself and that was nice. We had two starters and shared two gf main dishes with no issues. This restaurant was given a Michelin award for flavorful food at a reasonable price so it’s worth checking out.

My son is celiac so we are very careful. Hadn't been to Vijs in years but have always loved and respected it and went on New Year's Eve 2022. The menu is now clearly marked almost entirely gf and they were extremely careful and knowledgeable about cross-contamination. They were totally on it. Lamb popsicles were a favourite but there was not a bad dish. They brought a gf chappati out for my son instead of naan. We were a large group and ordered many dishes including meat, paneer, veg - all gf. My son is very sensitive, ate every dish except the Naan, and did not get sick. The food was amazing as it always has been, and the service was exceptional, also from Vikram himself, the consummate host. Nice to have a high-end restaurant feel so safe. It was also reasonably priced for the quality.

Our server knew nothing about celiac disease and gave recommendations not knowing how things were prepared. Had to help them understand, but everything turned out okay in the end (no gluten attack)

One of the best restaurants in Vancouver for a reason. The food is amazing. The lamb popsicles and chicken korma will blow your mind. While not dedicated GF, they are very well educated and will guide you through the menu. They also make a corn chapatti especially for GF diners so you can enjoy dipping in your curry. It’s no naan, but it satisfies. I’ve been eating here for years & I’ve never gotten sick. Oh and the decor is super cool!

Eaten here twice with no issue. Very knowledgable, great service. Corn chapti offered as alternative to naan. Highly recommend for a nice dinner!
