Vito’s Trattoria

I tested the gluten-free pasta and it came out as containing gluten. I did not eat and had to leave hungry while the rest of my group ate. I asked for the pasta to be cooked in a clean pot of water (I suspect this was not done based on the conversation with the waiter). I asked the waiter to double checked that the dish and pasta sauce I ordered was gluten free and they said everything was. But the whole dish came out as gluten positive when tested with the Nima sensor.

A fabulous find near the SJC airport! Moderate priced Italian comfort food with terrific service. I have Celiacs and Vito’s offers good selection of gluten-free dishes and knowledgeable waiters and chef. I had to pick up a friend at the airport during peak traffic time and Vito’s gave us a lovely place to dine and wait for traffic to thin.
