This restaurant is not celiac friendly and they do not have a dedicated fryer. They are reluctant to serve you anything if you have celiac and are almost abrupt with you if you ask them for even a salad. I have been here three times since my diagnosis. The first time I ate there they were accommodating. The next time they would not serve me and told me I shouldn’t return or could come back and bring my own food if I wanted to meet my friends there to eat again. The next time was for my mother’s birthday. I asked if they could even just make me a salad and they were abrupt with me. They firmly will tell you they cannot accommodate you. The dinner menu has no GF choices listed. Ironically, the dessert menu has GF items listed. Just know going in you are not welcome there if you have celiac. I have been visiting Highlands for almost 28 years and was diagnosed in the last year. I have eaten at this restaurant a million times before the diagnosis. It is disappointing to be treated so harshly by the waitstaff and owner.
