Ask the waiter for their gluten free menu. They have a menu that specifically highlights which items on their menu have gluten in it. Many of the items do not which was such a relief as a newbie to this world.
Admittedly, I am still a bit embarrassed or shy to ask if they minimize the risk of cross-contamination so you may want to ask.

I usually get the lean brisket with white sauce and baked cheese grits. It is very good. I go alot. Most of the staff I have had were knowledgeable. No reaction. Corn and queso dips are great.

I ordered and specifically mentioned I was gluten-free and dairy free. The waiter wrote everything down and seemed very knowledgeable about which items I could order and checked with about other items that I might not want. Then my food came out with cheese on my salad and cornbread (was not listed as gf) touching all of my food. They remade everything and the cooks changed gloves and our waiter was very apologetic. Good was ok, not especially delicious. It smelled great.

Good selection of GF appetizer (esp the nachos) - go-tos are the grits and brisket or the burnt end plate. They don’t have a separate dedicated menu posted but do have a listing at the establishment that lists things that are gf or can be modified.

Excellent food! We had smoked brisket, smoked sausage, pulled chicken salad, and sides. All was delicious! Gluten free menu, lots of choices. No GF bread or buns but their blue corn chips are GF and delicious. Smoked meats are GF and dairy free, some of the sides are GF, some sides are also dairy free, menu indicates GF.
