The waitress’s were very knowledgeable about what gluten free is and the safety regarding celiac. I had the #8 (gan poong gi) sweet and spicy. The chicken is the only option of this meal that can be made gluten free. It’s fried in a wok so the pan and oil can easily be cleaned/changed unlike a regular deep fryer, making it safe!

This little restaurant is a gem ! I did have some concerns as 3 different staff talked to me about gluten free offerings and had different information. The gentleman who greeted us and sat us said mostly anything could be made GF except for a few items premarinated ( with soy). Makes sense. Then a waitress came over and explained only a few options are actually safe! She seemed knowledgeable so I chose one is the options she recommended. The a different waitress brought us kimchi and I asked if any was safe/ gluten free. She seemed confused and said “yes they are just vegetables”. I asked if anything had soy sauce. She said no. So I did enjoy some kimchi ( that was Delicious!!! ). Then the 1st waitress came back and said she didn’t think the Kimchi was intact Gluten Free. Ugh! So now I’m a bit confused but what can I do. Already ate a bit of it. When my meal came (#13) and it was so delicious!! It has been almost 24 hrs and so far I’ve had minimal reaction to the kimchi I wanted to only give 3 stars because of the confusion and misinformation , but had to give it 4 because the food is so good and fresh and comes out piping hot. Also the 1 waitress who was helpful really did seem to have experience and knowledge. I will go back and stick with the options available!!!
This family run Korean restaurant has kept me safe for many years. The fried dishes are done with rice flour, so gluten free. The five kinds of Kim chi are gluten free. I bring my own sauce for Bi Bim Bop, or use the juices from the Kim chi. Small and sweet. The brothers who run the restaurant are knowledgeable about gluten and speak English well.
