Their GF ramen is AMAZING! I grew up in Seattle but no longer live where I have access to good Asian food and I was so excited to get some GF ramen! Service was pretty slow, but it was a busy Friday night so may be better during the week. I told the service I had a gluten allergy when ordering and had no reaction :)

We went to Wood Ear for dinner and really enjoyed it! The menu labels what is gluten free, which includes many of their appetizers, all rice bowls, and all ramen bowls can be made with rice noodles. The waiter was really helpful in answering my questions and asked if I had celiac when I confirmed what was gluten free. I got the Del Mare ramen which was delicious! Also tried the Avocado Nigiri and really liked it. Their cocktails were good too.

Good place to have GF Ramen which is not something you get the chance to. Food was ok but it was safe and a great experience.

So many positive reviews. But alas, I’m dealing with gluten contamination after eating there yesterday for dinner. Had the sweet potato fries and the Sticky Tofu. Told the waitress I’m celiac-seemed to understand…

This was a great restaurant. I’m not celiac, but fairly sensitive. The ramen with GF noodles was great, and our family tried the brisket, the pork shoulder and pork belly, and our kids got the chicken. All were delicious. Or while family lived the Brussels appetizer as well. My husband and I enjoyed some of the fancy drinks. He is raving about the meal (which his just happened to be gluten free…) as well.

Wood Ear has a really unique combination of BBQ and Asian cuisine, a combination that really works! We ended up dining in (which allowed my non-gluten free spouse to get the ramen and for me to get a really nice drink) and the food was excellent. I didn't communicate extensively with the server or staff about my needs (going with the simple "gluten allergy") but they seemed solid on precautions and I felt perfectly fine after (I'm not 100% sure if they're fully Celiac-safe though).

The staff went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and ensure I had a safe meal. They flagged our table as gluten free so the kitchen would know, and the host and server both understood what celiac was without me having to explain myself. The Kimchi sweet potato fries were to die for and I wouldn’t even get kimchi anything normally. I also got the pork ramen.

Wonderful experience here. Gluten free and vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, and you can order a significant portion of the menu.
