Chad was an excellent server! They don’t have a separate GF menu, but the regular menu has markings for Gluten Free, GC (gf but with cross contamination/shared frying oil), nuts and vegan options. Makes it very easy to pick out your best options!

Yes I’ve eaten here a dozen or more times, both take out and in the restaurant. No gluten cross contamination ever or gluten issues ever. I’ve had very detailed conversations with servers, hosts, many times, all of them up to the task of checking ingredients and knowing what gluten is and how to avoid it in your order. Always delicious too. I take out huge variety pack trays for at home dinner parties and guests always write down the name Wood Ranch.

This place was amazing all around!! The service 10/10, the knowledge of ingredients 10/10, I’m not celiac but have a wheat and barely allergy, nut allergy, and seafood allergy. I had the pulled pork, with the chicken potato skins and no reaction at all!! And they were both AMAZING!! Will definitely be going again while we’re in San Diego !

This was one of the best barbecue restaurants we’ve been visited anywhere, and most items were gluten free. My husband had the baby back ribs with slaw and baked beans. I had the chicken breast with mashed potatoes (gf and v), and the slaw- which is also gf and delicious. We visited several times during our visit to San Diego and wish we had one where we live. Servers were also very attentive and took great care to insure we were safe from CC. Great place’

Gluten sensitive dishes are marked with many options including steaks, ribs, fish. The BBQ tri tips were very good.

Overall great experience. Recommend reservations, since this place is popular. We sat outside which was nice because it's pretty boisterous inside. Server was so enthusiastic and attentive, and while he got thrown off a little bit when I asked about gluten-free options (and said I had a wheat allergy) I think it's because like many places they can't guarantee no cross-contamination so their menu is listed" gluten friendly". I ended up getting the pulled pork, smashed sweet potatoes, and baked beans, A. Mojito, also tried some of my family's tri-tip and brisket. Everything was extremely tasty, some of the best barbecue I've had in a long time. Wish they had some more vegetable sides like collard greens, but I guess we're in the west now so what can I say?

I have not had any problems. I have celiac and the server always honors my instructions. They don’t have separate fryers. They don’t guarantee against cross contamination. But they do have many gluten free options.

Gluten-free items are marked on the menu with a “G,” and the restaurant also identifies “gluten-free” items that are cooked in the same oil as food containing gluten with a “GC.”
When we put our order in after informing the waitress that our daughter had celiac, the waitress said that she could not guarantee that the gluten-free items would be safe because they are cooked on the same grills as items with gluten. She did say that she would tell the kitchen about the allergy, and that the kitchen staff would take precautions.
In short, there’s a very high risk of cross contamination. The only reason we came to eat at the restaurant was because of the 2 prior reviews from a few years ago on the Find Me Gluten-Free app that rated it with 5 stars.

I’ve been here several times and never gotten sick. If you tell them what’s up they really try to take care of you. Told the takeout person I have celiac and they immediately ran into the kitchen and told everyone no gluten and to change gloves/clean everything down. Refreshing having somewhere in LA where they know it’s not just a fad diet.
