Yama Sushi

We ate ourselves absolutely silly on a sushi boat which we asked the server to have the sushi chef adapt for us. All the staff seemed very knowledgeable about gluten free for celiac. Prepare yourself for no soup, no salad other than iceberg (and no dressing), no sauces, and no tempura or crunchy rolls. But I did not miss it at all- it was really good. FYI, they served me a California roll with crab stick (imitation crab) in it, which almost always has gluten in it in my experience. So I didn’t eat it for my own peace of mind. I had a gracious plenty of delicious pieces and rolls to eat without it!

The waitress didn’t seem to know what menu items were and weren’t gluten free and couldn’t answer questions about prep space and ingredient prep. My food turned out fine and I haven’t felt sick yet, but I expected slightly more knowledgeable staff based of previous reviews.

Stopped in a Wednesday night to meet a friend. Not knowing the area, we had to rely on Google maps, which led us a bit astray; as mentioned in other reviews, this restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall. Kept it simple - Edamame, Tuna, Salmon, and Yellow Tail Rolls. All were delicious and very fresh - some of the best rolls we have had in quite some time. Also had GF soy sauce (tamari) available for me, so I didn't have to run to the Giant next store to get some :-). Service was friendly, rolls were delivered quickly, and my green tea never made it to empty, so I would recommend.

They have wonderful, fresh sushi. Fresh like off-the-boat fresh. And they didn't bat an eye at my GF requests. They even brought GF San-J Tamari without my even asking.

Gluten free soy sauce! The staff also knew about being gluten free and took precautions for me. let me substitute real crab meat for imitation crab. great atmosphere, yummy food and best of all I didn't get sick :)

They are great! They carry gluten-free soy sauce and staff is knowledgeable regarding gluten-free dietary needs.
