I visited here after reading great reviews on their GF offerings. When we asked the waiter for the GF menu he told us he “wished there was one” and then handed us the vegetarian menu. I asked again what was GF, and he told me “I mean, kind of a lot of things” and proceeded to talk about how he’d ask for sesame seeds to be removed from California rolls. We advised sesame seeds aren’t gluten and then he told me he knew but some people with Celiac are sensitive to sesame. We were never walked through a menu or told what rolls were GF (their website explicitly says to ask server about GF options). I ordered what I know is GF at other places so got 3 boring rolls with no soy sauce.
He did advise he’d ask the kitchen to change gloves and clean area, but then my sushi came out on the same plate as my husband’s tempura rolls.
Overall a very disappointing experience for an anniversary dinner. Will not be returning due to lack of knowledge and care of gluten-free guests.
