Great Gfree menu! I eat at the location in The Woodlands. I have not had any cross contamination problems at this restaurant. Taste great, I leave full & I never get sick! 👍
Great gluten free options! I like that the gluten free menu items are regular items on the menu, I find that kitchen staff are less likely to cross contaminate when they don't have to prepare the food differently! Hummus was served with raw cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots, which was great! Their roasted veggies and braised white beans are my favorite sides!
The GF menu is basically just what's on the normal menu that happens to be GF. The wait staff needs to be educated about GF but they are nice and helpful. The food is good but it would be nice to see special GF items like GF breads and Pizzas.
Consistently great food and service at this location. Excellent GF menu. Never had a cross-contamination issue. Such good and filling GF options for lunch or dinner such as a salad with quinoa, grilled chicken dinner with roasted veggies and yummy braised white beans. Menu is clearly marked with GF if they can be ordered GF (some items come with a side of pita bread, for example, unless you specify GF).
Great place with even better food. Everything is made fresh with delicious ingredients. I have gone here several times and the chicken kabobs and protein power plate are the best. But make sure you tell them you are gluten free. The menu items are prepared with different sides if you are GF- the indication on the menu just means it can be prepared GF.
I used to really like eating at Zoe's but the last 3 or 4 times I've tried to eat there I have had problems. They are always very busy and it seems they struggle to fulfill their orders. Last time I went I ordered a cup of tomato basil soup (waited at least 15 minutes for it) and there were bread crumbs on the plate next to my soup. So basically they saw that it was supposed to be gf after they made it and took off the toast. When I questioned it they got an attitude and took it back to the kitchen very unhappily. Their restaurant is also very dirty, and it's hard to find a place to sit where there isn't food all over the floor and tables. I think they need new management desperately.
I went 8/25/14 and ordered a salad, told the cashier it had to be GF. When my salad came out with pita bread on top, I told the girl that I ordered it GF. She walked around the corner, took the pita off of the top, and returned 30 seconds later with the same salad. I told her that I have Celiac disease and need to have a new one made. She took the salad back. A minute or two later, she came back and asked if I was allergic to feta cheese. I told her no. She clearly had no idea what GF is. A "new" salad came out about 5 mins later. I was so sick that night and the whole next day. They obviously did not make a new salad. Don't trust this location.
Gluten free menu listed on website and in restaurant. Selection of 4 salads, one soup, 6 entrees and 7 sides that were gluten free. Great food! At ordering the staff noted gluten free. Cashier told me that once it's noted staff changes gloves to prepare my meal. I'm very sensitive to cross contamination and had no reaction! Food was delicious!
Great Mediterranean food! Good gluten free selection (including kabobs, salads, and sides) and everything gluten free is clearly marked on the menu. Some GF selections originally come with pita bread on the side so you have to clarify that you want it GF. They are generally knowledgeable and accomodating if you say you have an allergy/celiac. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: I once ordered a GF meal for pickup, my boyfriend went to get our food and when he returned, I realized that instead of what I had ordered, I had been given a wrap (obviously not what I ordered since it had gluten). When we went back, they reimbursed us for the meal and gave me a free souvenir cup along with my new meal. They dealt with it appropriately, but a little frustrating nonetheless.
Have gotten sick once before, but since then I've tried other locations and have been fine.
Has become my favorite restaurant, the menu is marked with gluten free and vegan options, the atmosphere is great, the food is fresh and so so delicious! My personal favorite is the salmon kabobs with braised white beans. Also, they have hummus and pita on the menu, but I substitute cucumbers instead of pita and it's gluten free.
Excellent gluten-free tuna salads (two types), chicken salad. The potato salad is not great, but it is gluten-free. Wish they had bread for sandwiches (like the Corner Bakery Cafe next door), but it's a great lunch option either way. The dressing on the table is gluten-free and delicious!
Love eating here! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Never have any reactions to their food. Weekly staple in my house!
Exceptional! Unique menu with good options. The kabobs are to die for. Ran out of steak when they were to do mine and gave me my whole portion of our meal for free. Gave my picky eating celiac daughter a extra side of rice for free when she started loving it. Will go out of our way to visit next time through.
I was told gluten free was not a problem, but their idea of gluten free us not putting pita bread on the dish. But after I ate the meal I realized I shouldn't of had the rice which turn out to be pilaf!! The gluten free dish should have come with a bean side dish after reviewing their on-line menu. My wife also ordered a gluten free so that we could share, but there was a pasta noodle in it. I am suck as I type this review. If you have celiac stay away from this chain!!
I love Zoës! Eaten here enough times to get freebies from their app. They can sub in gluten-free sides. The white beans are delicious. I usually get salmon kabobs. My fella complains about 3/4 of the time that the steak meat is too tough but still he orders it. The veggies usually have a preponderance of onions and my order is often not quite right. But the food is yummy, fast, and healthy!
Great gluten free menu options
We have eaten at Zoe's on Zelda many times, but today was not a good experience. We ordered the Shrimp Kabob split and it came to our table on one plate. The waiter knew it should have been split, but he did not offer to take it back to the kitchen and have it split it on two plates. I gave the instructions to the checker twice but she was having difficulty hearing me due to the loud music, the loud drink/ice machine and the conversation in the restaurant along with orders being shouted to the kitchen. It appeared that the kitchen/restaurant was sorely understaffed. We will probably go back but give explicit instructions to the checker to split the order on two plates. I understand from the waiter that the checker forgot to put the instructions on the ticket. We will not order the shrimp again because it was very tough. We will stick with the chicken kabob and ask that it be cooked while we wait without all the black pepper (too much black pepper for one dish).
