This place is in high demand for a good reason! They definitely have a decent selection of gluten-free items, but I quickly decided on the shrimp and grits. I am convinced that it will be one of the better things I have on this trip to North Carolina. It was exceptional! Also, the service was exceptional. They made a tiny mistake on my husband’s meal and insisted on bringing us an entirely new platter of the meal and two desserts ( one of which was gluten-free for me!) to make up for the mistake which really was not a big deal . The chocolate crème brûlée, and the Keylime pie were delicious! All of us., even the gluten eaters enjoyed our food. They ordered a chicken pesto pasta and the jerk chicken and loved it.

I rarely take the time to write reviews but Zi had to warn you. This place is so expensive and the food, though it can be made gluten free, is not great. It’s a tourist trap. My table ordered 3 gluten free meals. All we’re seriously disappointing and the bill was $200.

For 9 years this is my go to celiac restaurant every family beach week. They completely understand celiac. I have never had a gluten reaction! Hard working owner on site. Great seafood for all.

Amos Mosquito's is my FAVORITE! The seafood is so good and we eat here multiple times during our annual visit to the area. The staff is very knowledgeable about celiac and there is a separate, gluten free menu. Gluten free meals are prepared in a separate part of the kitchen and are served on an orange plate to differentiate them from standard meals. My favorite is the mixed seafood platter. 😊

They do have a GF menu, although there is not a lot included. I had broiled fish (I was told this could be made safely), green beans and rice. I did not get sick from the meal, but it also did not fill me up. They were able to accommodate dairy and egg free issues as well. Recommend getting in line before they open, as it is very crowded with a long wait!

A superb local institution. Nouveau Southern cuisine, Gluten-Free options, Celiac friendly. The food is lovely and delicious. The vibe is casual-cool, but nice. Take the family. Take your out of town visitors. Take your date. They will thank you. It’s like voting: go early and often. You’re going to wait for your table, but it’s more than worth it. The secret is to get there early.

I have eaten at this restaurant at least once a year for years. We have a house within walking distance. They have a wonderful GF menu and the food tastes great. The food makes me sick almost every time I eat there. Not sure why I keep trying. The staff is knowledgeable but the kitchen is not safe for a very sensitive celiac. I used to notify the manager but now I don’t bother. The only item I had that did not make me sick was the mixed grill. Don’t eat the shrimp & grits, or baked oysters and even the other seafood.

I absolutely love Amos Mosquitos. Have eaten here many, many times and have never gotten sick. I recommend the Mixed Seafood Grill with a side of pineapple sauce. They do advertise on Thursdays they have sushi and have gluten free soy sauce, but our waitress was very adamant to not get the sushi if you have celiac disease as they cannot guarantee no cross contamination.

Lots of gluten free options. While they do not have a separate prep area, they are very careful not to cross contaminate. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with our group, two of which have celiac. They do have a dedicated fryer but only for their French fries. They even have a few gluten free dessert options. I would have given 5 stars but they do not carry any gluten free bread or rolls but we still had a delicious meal.

This was disappointing, especially considering our anticipation based on the prior reviews. They do not have a dedicated fryer for things like chips or fries. The options for kids includes items like a hotdog or hamburger without the bun. There was a separate GF menu, but neither my daughter (Celiac) and I (Hashimoto’s) left satisfied.

Words can’t express how wonderful Amos is! The food is absolutely delicious; best food in the area. Great variety of gluten-free. They can accommodate the daily specials to be gluten-free. I can’t pick a favorite dish because I always want to try something new each time. You can feel confident that your food is gluten-free; staff is very educated on it. And food allergies have special colored plates. The staff is awesome! The atmosphere is so cute and unique. This is one restaurant you want to put on your list to go to! You won’t be disappointed!

I recently tried Amos Mosquito's for the first time. I had heard great things about it. The service is awesome! We arrived early to the restaurant (around 30 mins before opening time, which I recommend doing as a line was already forming to get in) and we were finished eating our main entree within 30 mins of having been seated. Super fast service and on top with keeping drinks filled. Food was great with some good gf options.

Enjoyed dining with my husband here, who has Celiac. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. a bit pricey BUT the portions were well worth the $$$. A few things marked as fried with gluten-containing foods, but it IS noted. He ordered the Shrimp & Scallops with Pesto, substituted the fettucine (not GF) for Jasmine rice & he couldn't say enough good things about it! Portion was large enough that he had leftovers! Dessert was available, but he was so full that he passed. He is extremely sensitive to ANY gluten & had NO issues at all. We will return in the future, for sure!

Wonderful food with an educated and kind staff. I ordered the lobster dip with no baguettes for dipping and the waitress brought cucumbers instead of he own accord which was so nice. Also the meal I ordered (mixed seafood grill) came on an orange plate to distinguish that I had an allergy. I felt very safe there and the food was amazing. Best experience that left me feeling confident about my food safety.

Large gluten-free menu and informed staff. Delicious foods!! The atmosphere is welcoming and exciting at this restaurant. Loved the small touches like mosquito temporary tattoos given to the kids, "swamp" sounds playing in the bathrooms, and overall decorating of the facility. Great place!
