Very yummy. Only 3 dishes out of a gigantic dinner menu were not entirely gluten free dishes, so I pretty much had free reign over what to order. The soy sauce defaults to tamari, and therefore was gluten free! The owners of this place definitely consciously designed the menu to be as gluten free as possible. There are also entirely gluten free options for dessert, which is so rare. Servers were well aware of celiac and CC.

Wet fresh tasting sushi. Staff are very knowledgeable and have GF soy sauce.
Loved the Fried Chicken - also very creative rolls. You can eat fried food cause they only use rice flour.
A little expensive but so thankful to have the option.

Waitress was awesome and asked about any/all allergies. She was able to make sure all dairy and egg was void, on the side or was very clear about what was in each roll. Not to mention is was the best sushi I have had yet!

One of my favorite GF places in Seattle. The only gluten they have there is the bun on the burger - they only have tamari sauce no soy sauce used. AMAZING. Couldn’t recommend more 🍣🧡

This restaurant is amazing, a Celiac girlies dream! Both the hostess and server were very knowledgeable about celiac disease and explained everything to me. They have a dedicated fryer, they only have tamari sauce at each table, and their menu is 98% gluten free. Their tempura batter is completely gluten free which made me so happy!! I highly recommend this sushi spot. I did not feel sick at all after eating here.

Amazing! 99% of menu gluten free including gluten free tempura! You must try the cauliflower small plate and the crispy rice. Fully dedicated GF fryer too. Great service and awesome bartender. This is my new favorite restaurant in Seattle.

Bamboo Sushi is a gem for those with celiac disease, offering a wide range of delicious gluten-free options that don't skimp on flavor. Vegetarians are also well catered to, with a creative and extensive selection of plant-based dishes. This restaurant truly excels in inclusivity, making it a top choice for diners seeking both quality and variety in their sushi experience. Only note is that reservations are not available during the weekend but make them during the week because it can be very busy.

I come here probably every other month! Nothing like a little sushi date and some shopping! The sushi is good, not an omakase type experience, but a great lunch and love being able to have tempura items! Almost everything being GF is pretty amazing.

Absolutely amazing, even the tempura is gluten free. The soy sauce on the table is tamari always so you don’t even have to ask for tamari. Only a few items on the menu have gluten but it’s only about 3 on a menu of 30+ dishes.

They have very few items on their menu that HAVE gluten. Even their shrimp tempura is not glutenous and no glutenous things go in their fryer. Felt like a super safe restaurant. Even better than 5 stars. The basic sushi rolls were just fine. The citrusy salmon nigiri was amazing. No gf menu. Instead it marks IF the item IS glutenous.

Such a great option for GF. They are so understanding of Celiac Disease and make going out to dinner feel safe. Get the unicorn roll it is delish! Other favorites are the salads, shrimp tempura roll and the basic California roll dipped in the unicorn sauce (ask for an extra side). Happy hour prices are super reasonable.

Gluten free sushi with tempura in a gluten free fryer? Yes please! The sushi bar is essentially dedicated gluten free with a couple of items from the kitchen containing gluten that are marked. Our server was very familiar with celiac disease and it was easy to order and delicious. We also loved how varied the flavor profiles of their signature rolls were. Bonus: across the street from Frankie and Jo’s for dairy free gluten free ice cream with gluten free waffle cones!!

The service was top-notch and knowledge relating to being celiac comforting. The whole menu, minus three items, was totally gluten free. The waitstaff still wanted to know if I had any allergies to make doubly certain not to cross contaminate. We each had a specialty cocktail, yum. Gomae, Miso, two sushi rolls with gf tempura, karage chicken, and topped it off with Macha manicotti. The food was outstanding! What a treat to be able to order without hesitation. A must visit anytime you're in the area!

Absolutely incredible! I don’t normally take risks with gluten, but a place that has so many gluten free items on the menu that they only label the TWO items that do have gluten?! So good. I felt comfortable. All staff were knowledgeable about gluten. Didn’t get sick, and LOVED every bite. They only use rice flour for tempura and tamari for soy sauce.

I have Celiac AND a soy allergy and ordered this for delivery. Soy is in nearly every dish on a sushi menu, even dressings, so it is hard to accommodate. But Bamboo went ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate me. Instead of canceling my order, they went through and helped me created a CUSTOM order step by step to ensure I was safe and satisfied. If you have ANY allergies, eat here. They will absolutely ensure you have an amazing experience. I was blown away and will continue to order from Bamboo.

Celiac. Almost everything there is gluten free. The few gluten containing items are marked with a "G". I had the tempura shrimp and a rainbow roll. It was nice not having to worry about the sauces. The service and ambience was fantastic. One note so you don't get surprised, they are cashless.

I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t eaten it myself! Amazing gluten free sushi. Gluten free tempura shrimp in my sushi. And tamari instead of soy sauce at all the tables. There are truly only a couple menu items with gluten (a burger and a steak). The hostess was a celiac and she reassured me because I was so skeptical. The entire staff was incredible. I can’t say enough good things.

I also have an egg allergy and they go above and beyond to make sure that I stay safe. The manager sat with me and apologized because they actually had the remake food before sending it to the table when he double checked the allergies and saw egg. So yes I saw above they did recently add a couple more menu items with gluten but they are all on the similar section of the grill to the burger. The manager explained to me they actually already re did the recipes to eliminate the other gluten remaining items (I think it was the spicy edamame) Therefore not creating any more risk than there was before. I strongly believe they take allergies seriously and that it’s safer than any other restaurant that it is not entirely dedicated gluten-free.

Their hard-copy menu designates anything with gluten with a G but there are only a few things like the burger bun with gluten (it’s a little hard to tell from online menu). They only use tamari and have designated gf fryer. Their tempura is gf. I ordered Rainbow Roll, amazing!

My favorite sushi spot in seattle! Vast majority of menu is gluten free and they only serve GF tempura and have a dedicated fryer. Their menu did recently change and a few additional items have gluten now, but after speaking with the manager, I still feel safe eating here. Appears to be very minimal risk of cross contamination. She also informed me that they are in the process of adapting some of the new menu items with gluten so that they will be gluten free as well.

2022-03-31 edit: they changed the menu in March 2022 and I no longer believe it's safe for celiacs.
Some of the best gluten free food I've had from a restaurant in Seattle. I got the sunomono salad, vegetable tempura, and crispy rice spicy tuna sushi. Will be ordering again for sure.

This was a huge bummer, the menu and kitchen used to be entirely gluten free, with exception to the burgers. As of March of 2022 the menu changed and introduced multiple new roles containing gluten. The chopsticks are also wooden meaning cross contamination is inevitable.

A good experience overall. The server was helpful in terms of checking with the kitchen to confirm my safety. Majority of the menu is gluten free and tasty. I would recommend avoiding the crispy rice though, not very good at all. They offer a good happy hour. Also, our server had celiac disease and stated that she had no issue eating the restaurant’s food on a regular basis.

Except for the bun on the hamburger the entire menu is gluten free. Excellent food with outstanding staff & service. We love their food, always safe, plenty of delicious offerings besides sushi which we don’t partake. We have eaten there many times and taken friends who are not GF who love eating at Bamboo Sushi too. Our favorites are the cucumber salad, spicy & sweet cauliflower with cashew nuts, a white fish served grilled with an orange broth & shrimp tempura!!! Everything on the menu is memorable. It is our favorite restaurant, at a fun venue to visit!
