Bartaco staff was extremely knowledgeable with celiac disease! All of their menu (including the mocktails) is gluten free and they brought up cross contamination to me and how everything is super safe and we don’t have to worry about a thing! The only item on the menu that is NOT gf is the kids quesadilla, but it does not come into contact with the rest of the food!

I had such a great experience and I WILL be back! I appreciate how safe they made me feel!

The menu is marked for items that contain gluten, but the only things that do have gluten are desserts and the kids menu quesadilla which uses a flour tortilla. Everything else is naturally gluten free, including all of the tacos which use corn tortillas, and the chips which are prepared in a dedicated gf fryer. Food is delicious and not overly expensive by Boston standards.

Delicious guac and drinks. Almost everything is GF, except for random stuff with tortillas like the kids' queadillas. There's a separate fryer for GF stuff too. Only issue is with the spice level... the guac, chorizo tacos, and shrimp tacos were pretty dang spicy!

I had such a great time at Bartaco! I’ve had severe celiac for 15 years and still get nervous eating at new restaurants. I was reassured by the waitstaff that there was very little flour in the kitchen at all- that the only thing I couldn’t eat were the desserts and the flour tortilla from the kids menu. I was also thrilled to see that I could eat their corn tortilla chips since they did not fry anything with flour in their fryers. The waitstaff and kitchen were incredibly knowledgeable and I was relieved to see that I could put “gluten allergy” with my order when you order on your phone. I ordered chicken, shrimp, and pork tacos and they were phenomenal. The chips and guac were also delicious! Had such a lovely time and zero reaction. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been here dozens of times & the staff asks about allergies as soon as you sit down. All of their savory items are gf, including all tacos, tortilla chips, etc. The only gluten containing items on the menu are some of the desserts. My partner also has a peanut allergy & they are 100% peanut free if that is an issue for anyone! Love coming here!

Almost everything here is naturally GF (exception of the flour tortillas on the kids menu and the desserts) and there’s an option when you order through the QR code at your table to select a gluten allergy so the kitchen is aware. Everything was delicious!

Ate there twice, the first time in restaurant. Very clear with each server. Said everything but the quesadillas and desserts are gluten free. Confirmed they can make the quesadillas on corn tortillas. Second time, ordered online and noted allergy and ask to take care to avoid cross contamination and ask to swap flour tortillas for corn. I was ordering for my two sons that have celiac and I was away (they had a babysitter). Unfortunately, the restaurant did not swap the tortilla and I only noticed when I came home. I now have two very sick kids. I would not recommend as it is not safe for people with celiac as the servers and kitchen did not read notes.
