Its hard to find good tacos this far north, bartaco satisfies.

Its not authentic, but everything is done with intention. This is the kind of resturant that makes you want to try everything on the menu because its all so good

Everything is clearly labeled and the bartenders were mindful of my needs. Im asymptomatic but i did have a tummy ache after going one time. Take that as you will.

100% Gluten Free Safe!!! The food was incredible and the staff were all trained and hyper sensitive to ALL food allergies. Food was street taco like, drinks were awesome-great spice, and atmosphere made you feel like you were on a beach in a warm piece of paradise. Every single staff person was super kind and helpful especially Meg the manager. My only question was, “When can I get back here next!”

Everything with the exception of the kids quesadilla and some desserts is gluten free. The server was very knowledgeable and let us know they have a separate fryer for churros to avoid cross contamination. You can also easily specify on each item that there is a gluten allergy. My 8 year old felt very safe and thought her food was delicious.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease just under two months ago. I used to get carry out about once a week, but I’ve really only made my own food since my diagnosis. I had a scheduled appointment with a nutritionist about a week ago, and she recommended a few different restaurants in the area, including this one. I decided to take a chance and placed an order online. For each item they have boxes you can check for various allergies, including gluten, as well as a comment box. When I went to pick up my food, the place was bustling, and I had to wait a bit because I was early. At least half a dozen staff members stopped to ask if I had been helped, which was pretty impressive to me. I mentioned it to the manager when I left, and he said that the vast majority of their menu is gluten-free and they have lots of people on a gluten-free diet eat there regularly. The food was delicious, and I did not get sick. It’s a bit pricey in my opinion and for my budget/income, but it will be an occasional treat since I rarely eat out anymore. I highly recommend it. Their guacamole and pork belly tacos are fantastic! And their margarita is super fresh.

YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!!! The flavors are SO GOOD, separate fryer, knowledgeable staff, almost everything is GF.

I got the following tacos: the brussel sprout/seasonal, pork belly, sesame ribeye, and spiced chicken verde. They were all SO GOOD and SO unique.

We also got the starter chips and dips - each salsa was delicious and so was the guacamole.

They were very knowledgeable about gluten, and keep it segregated in the kitchen at all times. Separate fryers, separate area of the kitchen, new gloves each time. When they did our order, we could hear the kitchen staff yelling “celiac”. All the desserts have gluten, but they made us the churros with plantains, and they were so good!

Good food, reasonable prices, small portions though. Loved the corn salad, large guac, fish tacos and salsa. We did take out and brought to the union terrace. It was ready in about 35 minutes on a Saturday night.

Delicious, great atmosphere, and most importantly SAFE! As many of the other reviews have stated, they have dedicated friers and everything is gluten free except for dessert and kids flour tortillas. For enhanced awareness, you can flag each item with a gluten allergy notification when you order to alert the kitchen (I do this each time). I have been here a handful of times now and have not gotten sick.

Visited Madison and called to talk to them they only gluten items they have is flour tortillas and their desserts which they keep seperated and away from everything they knew exactly safe prep what to do for gluten allergy/celiac. Food was amazing! We got taco packs and chips and salsa. Did not get sick and felt confident eating there. Definitely will be back!

I went for the first time this week and found out the entire menu is gluten free except the kids menu and some deserts. They have dedicated GF fryers for the corn chips and other fried items. My all time favorite restaurant! 90% of the menu is gluten free. Celiac safe fried fish and fried oyster tacos. The elote corn fritters are the best thing I’ve ever eaten. They taste like cheese curds and elote combined!! My favorite taco is the pork belly…so good! Staff is insanely friendly, the atmosphere is eccentric and I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Bartaco was amazing! The online ordering system clearly states ingredients and as lows you to identify allergens with each item. The food was so good!! The chips and verde salsa, the #bartacosecret tacos with brussel sprouts with spicy candy pepitas were one of the best things I’d ever eaten. My son loved the chicken rice bowl. Knowledgeable and friendly staff confirmed safety of menu selections upon pick up. The only downside, no gf desserts! Will absolutely be back!

We asked the host about gluten on the way in. He said everything on the menu except the dessert was gluten free. So we didn't think twice when we ordered my Celiac daughter the kids plate. It was not obvious from the ordering app that the kids quesadilla on the platter was NOT gluten free. There is a spot on the ordering to mark allergies and we did select "gluten allergy" for her meal. Even though we didn't catch the gluten, I would have expected that us selecting allergy would either indicate to change the shell automatically or for someone to come and ask about it but neither happened. So my 4 yr old spent the night puking. Checked the menu this morning and yup, kids quesadilla contains gluten.

Everything on menu GF except deserts and pork tacos. Great atmosphere and delicious food. After chips and three different salsa type dishes, devoured several street tacos and half roasted chicken. We will be back!

Really, really delicious tacos and bowls. Most of their menu is gluten free so it's pretty safe for celiacs. They lose a star for one thing that's important to know - the pork taco is braised in a GLUTEN-REMOVED beer, which is not safe for celiacs. They did come back to tell me so I was able to order something else, but it's marked gluten-free on the menu and not every waiter may know to tel you about the beer so I wanted to note it here. Everything I had was amazingly delicious so you should definitely go, just stay away from the pork taco.

Everything is gf aside from the deserts. I have celiacs and have eaten there dozens of times with absolutely zero problems which is super rare for me. They even have fried fish and shrimp tacos that are totally celiac friendly!

Bartaco was wonderful! They have a separate fryer for their gluten free options and the waiter asked about allergies. My celiac kids ate the chips and salsa, fried corn fritters, chicken empanadas and a couple different tacos. Neither had any reactions and both want to return. Sadly, there are no gluten free deserts.

Ate there twice, the first time in restaurant. Very clear with each server. Said everything but the quesadillas and desserts are gluten free. Confirmed they can make the quesadillas on corn tortillas. Second time, ordered online and noted allergy and ask to take care to avoid cross contamination and ask to swap flour tortillas for corn. I was ordering for my two sons that have celiac and I was away (they had a babysitter). Unfortunately, the restaurant did not swap the tortilla and I only noticed when I came home. I now have two very sick kids. I would not recommend as it is not safe for people with celiac as the servers and kitchen did not read notes.
