Each BJ has pretty mixed reviews, decided this one seemed safer from others, still got glutened. I don’t have issues with cross contamination but do have issues consuming gluten. I followed their online guide and all the food served seemed gluten free. I still had a bad reaction. I think the company just has no idea what they are doing. I noticed a GF labeled salad had couscous which is made from wheat, this gave me doubt on their labels. Ordered a GF bun with my burger and mashed potatoes, I felt gross within moments. Don’t know which it was, just know I wouldn’t risk going to this chain again. Edit: Worst gluten reaction I’ve had in a VERY long time

Had a GF burger. The waitress had no idea. She knew I was coeliac and have me coated fries. I had to look at the allergies list on their website to confirm their fries were not GF.
Got sick that night and I am quite mild symptomatically.

They have a scaled down menu during the pandemic, with limited gluten free options. I used to enjoy dining here, but feel that they have really reduced their gluten free offerings.

There burgers aren’t on the GF menu, but they are GF if you get a GF Bun and carefully select your toppings. Bummed that no fries are GF, not that the chips are GF.
Love this place! I like to go on Sundays to watch football. The pizza is delicious and the pear cider is fantastic. Not to mention the gluten free pizookie (warm cookie with ice cream).
Yes
Negative: needs more options and less worry about GF contamination. No GF tortilla chips is ridiculous when you have a place that asserts GF choices. Tough to be only to order a few items out of the many items on the menu. Positive: GF pizza, beer n dessert.
This place is great!! The service is fantastic, and the items on their gluten-free menu are delicious! I can tell that the kitchen staff is very knowledgable too, because when my server went to the kitchen to find out if the tortilla chips were 100% corn, she back with the answer of yes, but there could be cross-contamination from the oil they are fried in.
Always had great experiences at this location. The pizza is really great and I know several people who prefer it over their wheat crust because its not so heavy. I also like that the GF pizza is a different shape so I don't have to worry if I have the right food.
GF Pizza is wonderful!! Vanilla ice cream too! They know what they are doing!! Very competent!
Gluten free beer!
Great pizza. No Celiac reaction at all.
I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience but…My daughter has celiacs so eating out is a struggle, especially on the road. We picked BJ's bc they have gf buns. But they went above and beyond for my daughter. Our server Deja HANDCUT her French fries and then oven cooked them so there was no cross contamination with the fryers and had their manager cook her onions and mushrooms bc the kitchen was busy and she wanted to make sure it was right. I couldn't have asked for a better server or food for her!

I love their burgers/sandwiches. The server did warn me that the fries are cooked in a shared fryer, but it didn’t make me sick. So I guess they must change their oil out frequently or something.

I really love BJ’s as an easy place to eat out. They’re super knowledgeable about gf things and while I didn’t ask about specific practices, as soon as I said I had celiac’s, the server reassured me. And honestly the food tastes great. I had a burger and the gluten-free pizookie and it was delicious! My ice cream was even served from a brand new package to be extra safe. Didn’t get sick, would definitely come back.

Gluten Sensitive Option items marked on menu (appetizers, salads, entrees). Gluten free buns available for burgers. Gluten free pizza option. I had a Strawberry fields chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette. It was average good.
The service was horrible, we felt like we were at an invisible table. The large group that arrived well after we ordered received their food before ours. And our 3 orders came out piece meal from the kitchen. We had to ask multiple times for items we ordered, for refills and for our change once we paid the bill.
