The last two times I have been here they have put regular bread on my salad that I specifically ordered gluten-free. This time I had to force the issue of completely remaking the salad.

Love them! Their gluten free pancakes were actually really tasty! I frequent here for brunch every few months. Never been disappointed.

Warning. They do not make gf pancakes on weekdays. They also served our allergy gf omelet with the regular toast rather than the gf toast.
Best ham and Swiss cheese omelette I had in years! The gluten free toast was appreciated. The Santa Fe grilled chicken salad was also delicious. The cashier explained that they do their best to prevent cross contamination by changing gloves and utensils.
You have to ask the cashier for the GF menu. It helps to have the regular menu in hand to see what exactly is in the GF items, as the GF menu only lists the names of the options without a description. Also, the ordering process is more like a StarBucks than a normal sit-down restaurant.

The best Gluten Free Pancakes I have ever had and did not get sick vary knowledgeable staff!

Great GF menu with a lot of options When I told the cashier I needed options she offered the GF menu to me.

We’ve been twice for Sunday brunch and the pancakes are to die for!!

The staff really know what they're doing with gluten-free food. Andrea, the cashier, was super nice and incredibly helpful because she has celiac disease as well. They gave me the disclaimers about the kitchen being a mixed kitchen, but they are careful enough for safety.

I've been here many times with no issue of cross contamination at all. Great food.

I love Black Walnuy cafe. The food is always fresh. My favorite meal is the Black Walnut Salad with grilled chicken. I just ask for no garlic bread. The menu is clearly labeled with gf items. On the weekends they serve gf pancakes. This location also has a nice outdoor covered patio.

This place is very careful and the food is awesome! Make sure you say that it is an allergy not a preference and they will mark your order that way so that it is prepared carefully! All the food is so good!

Have gone here two mornings in a row. Most staff are knowledgeable about GF options. Griddle items are not gluten free, and neither are the house potatoes. First morning we went, they put house potatoes on my plate even after mentioning the gluten free requirement. The next day they informed me that the potatoes were not free of contamination and offered me a different side (this explained why my guts were leading a rebellion) so just be aware.

Asked for gluten free menu. Given a menu that listed gluten food in 90% of the items. Selected Texas breakfast figuring it would be safe. After it was served, I asked the waitress if the bread was gluten free. She said it was, but the potatoes and the jam((!) were not. She brought me fruit to replace it. Basically, I’ll never return. It was the worst gf restaurant experience I’ve had.
