The pizza at this place was surprisingly tasty, and fortunately, it didn't upset my stomach afterward. However, ordering was a bit nerve-wracking, especially on a bustling Friday evening with all the noise and crowd. Initially, I thought the first staff member had taken my order, but upon reaching the cash register, I was informed that I needed to order the gluten-free pizza separately. Opting for the gluten-free "Nonna Maria," I found myself asking questions about the oven's safety amidst a long line of people waiting for their slices, which added to the stress. Thankfully, the staff assured me that it would be prepared safely.

Got a takeout pizza, really tasty! They had cooked the pizza on an aluminum tray which helped prevent cross contact.

Pizza was pretty good and I didn’t get sick. I was very nervous ordering because it was so busy and loud on a Friday evening. I thought the first guy got my order but then when I got to the cash register he said I had to order the gf pizza there. I got the gf nonna Maria. I asked questions about the oven, which was stressful with a big line of people getting slices behind me, and they said it would be safe. I’ve read they cut the pizza with a shared cross contam tool, but this wasn’t my experience. I got it to go and it wasn’t cut which I preferred. Pizza was tasty, pretty good for gf crust, didn’t get sick.

They changed gloves, made the pizza on a separate sheet, then cut it with the same pizza cutter as all the other pizzas. No one seems to be too sick, though (we were desperate at that point and ate it anyway).

It's decent pizza but there are easily a dozen better gluten free pizzas just in NYC. It's a standard frozen crust that they do alright. Next time I would uber to other pizza spots that aren't too far.

Never once have I done a review on here but I feel very inclined. Best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. I don’t know why it just does it for me every time. Never ANY problems!!! (Except that one time it wasn’t gluten-free but I’ve ordered probably over 30 times and it is SO GOOD that I wasn’t even annoyed from one fluke) And they are always open so late! Best GF pizza around I would say.

My only complaint is that you have to order an entire GF pizza while everyone else can order a slice. We ordered the GF Mama Nonna, it was really delicious, cooked in it’s own container which I really liked. The crust they use isn’t anything out of the ordinary- at least it wasn’t to us. The usually thin crust GF type pizza. The staff was super friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

Great GF pizza. I was a little worried about cross contamination, but they cook GF pizzas in the back so it was ok. Crust was great. No issues from a person with celiac.
*Note that this restaurant isn’t exactly a sit down restaurant with wait staff, you place your order at a counter and wait for it to be made, few tables available*

Nonna GF pizza - good but crust tasted and looked like Udi’s frozen pizza crust. Cooked in own pan. Had to order entire pizza (baked fresh) - no GF pizza by the slice.

They prepare GF pizza dough in individual pans so it didn't touch the oven rack. Used special pizza cutter.
My daughter (celiac) loved the Nona pizza.

Delicious gluten free pizza! Piping hot. Yummy. They use us an old family recipe. . Greg was really friendly. Highly recommend!

Did a great job keeping it separate from regular pizza. Was prepared, cooked, and served in a foil tray. Actual crust wasn’t they great, but very cheesy and did the trick.

Owner was extremely helpful in insuring me what was gluten free & no cross contamination. They even offer gluten free cheese! 10/10 pizza, especially for gluten free pizza! Sauce was amazing as well!

The gluten free pizza base is great and the pizza tasty but is not safe, my partner is pretty ill right now.

Forget this place... late night, don't depend on getting a true GF pizza. Their menu states that the gf pizza is prepared on a separate platform, but when I asked where they pointed to the area where they were tossing flour and dough.
this famous NYC pizza place has the best gluten free pizza ever.
