I typically have a reaction within an hour or so of eating gluten, but the blue moon pizza had me feeling bad within 20 minutes of consuming. Was not sure if it was crossed contaminated or what but it was bad enough for me to not want to go back :( So sad…I know a lot of people that have celiac that like this place, but I unfortunately did not have the best experience here with their gluten-free crust :’(

My two sons and I came for lunch on Tuesday (April 5) around 1:30 and ordered a regular slice of pepperoni for one child. For the other child & myself, we ordered a Gluten free pizza with pepperoni. We explained that my son has celiac disease and cannot have gluten of any kind even in the form of cross-contamination. The waiter said he understood and also documented a food allergy on the receipt. When my son was diagnosed last year, we were recommended to Blue Moon pizza as a safe place for celiacs to eat. Before our first visit, we called to check to see if the cheese, pepperoni, and sauce were also gluten free and were assured that they are.
We have had such great experiences that we never checked his pizza with our Nima sensor that can detect gluten from a sample of food. On Tuesday night, I decided I should go ahead and just verify that our good feelings about Blue Moon were accurate especially since I had just made the recommendation to another celiac family to visit your restaurant. I took a sample from an edge (where a knife would have cut the slice) containing crust, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. It came back positive. I was in disbelief so checked the following to try to eliminate the point of contamination: pepperoni that had curled up away from the other toppings during baking and was not cut, cheese from the center of the pizza, crust only from the center of the pizza. All test points came back positive including the gluten free crust. The cheese had the strongest positive reading according to the control strips on the back. I even ran a control test on a blueberry to verify that the testing capsules were accurate. I threw the leftovers out and contacted the manager. He said all the right things and was truly sorry. He gave us a gluten free pizza to take home and bake ourselves. Unfortunately, it also tested positive for gluten. Fortunately, I had not yet given it to my son and he doesn’t experience immediate symptoms that would have made other celiacs severely ill.

I have no confidence in this restaurant. They have a GF menu, but when I asked what toppings were GF, the server told me the only thing gluten free was the salad. I drove an hour to have a real pizza and I’m very disappointed.

The best gluten free pizza crust I have ever had. My husband and I go here probably 1x a month - I have never gotten sick. It is so rare to find a GF pizza truly drool worthy but this place has it! Also the service is truly top tier we have had many different servers and they each have been excellent. One of our favorite spots.

As some with Celiac Disease and is sensitive to grain/dairy, I loved their paleo crust pizza with dairy free cheese. It was my first pizza out in almost 2.5 years! They even have gf/df cheesy bread. Highly recommended.
Excellent pizza. Salad and beer options too.

They have messed up my order like three times in a row. It used to be great but now everything is either rung up incorrectly or the cooks ignore the order.
Great pizza, cheesy bread, and salad. They understand what gluten is and they have great service.

Good but not great. Expensive for what you get.

Yuck! The GF pizza was dry and tasteless plus I got sick afterward. Uncle Maddio's is the only way to go for those that have an allergy.

The best gluten free BBQ Chicken Pizza around!
Amazing gluten free pizza! They really go the extra mile- I order the gf pizza with spinach mushrooms and feta and it taste great. Not like the typical cardboard flavor you get from most places. This is gourmet all the way- call ahead and they will bring it to your car- service with a smile!
Delicious gluten free pizza, cheesy bread and brownies. And they have dairy free cheese!

We ate there last night. The staff were wonderful and worked as a great team. Our first waiter advised against the house made gf pizza crust, and gave me a tip that the cauliflower crust tasted better. I would have to say that the cauliflower crust was one of the best I’ve ever had. I chose the specialty “white” pizza. It was a generous 12 inches, and delicious, if a little dry in places. I also enjoyed the house Greek side salad, with no glutin after effects on any of the meal. My husband liked the Stromboli and helped me eat the pizza. He said he would have just shared the pizza with me had he known it was so good, he liked it so well.

Talked to them on the phone before going and to our waitress when we sat down. Both were very knowledgeable. Ordered the GF pizza with ham and pineapple. Good food and didn’t get sick!
