UPDATE: the below was a review from my first visit there when we knew my daughter has celiac. We went back last night and the NO LONGER have a separate fryer and so all of the fried food not available to someone with celiac. Waitress very knowledgeable and went through the menu; and the food delicious but now menu not as expansive.
The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. Many of the “fried” items are fried with cornmeal and rice flour and in own fryer. The owner stopped by the table to check on us. He stated that when he and his dad started the restaurant, his step mom had celiac so they wanted to make sure it was a safe place to eat. Food was outstanding and it was nice to have such a variety of GF dishes!!

One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in long time. Our server, Matt, was extremely attentive to my gluten intolerance with our party of 7. Our table had ordered fried green tomatoes and he made sure to let the chef know to prepare it with gluten free breading for me. I definitely was not expecting them to accommodate without asking, so I was happily surprised. I ordered the flank steak with potatoes and broccolini for my entree, and had no issues. Definitely would return if we travel back to Birmingham, AL! Thank you to all the staff for making our dining experience so memorable.

Staff kinda knew what was gluten free but was not familiar with cross contamination or celiac safety. Made a comment that sometimes the fryer is gluten free, but the “oil is hot enough to burn it off”. Food was really delicious, but definitely had some cross contamination and ended up a mild sick.

The service was great, lots of gluten free options. I have celiac. They marked everything on my menu that was gluten free. They have great outdoor seating.

After reading reviews on here I was very excited, however I did not have the best experience. They do not offer any gf pasta or bread. Some of the fried food can be made gf, they use the same fryer. Very disappointing experience to be honest. The staff was very kind though.

An amazing dining experience. Staff tells me one of the investors has celiac, and all fried items are GF. While the menu isn’t marked GF, the waitstaff is very knowledgeable and pays attention to reservations if you denote celiac ahead of time. Most of the menu is either Gf or can be made Gf. I love the fried catfish, and the scallops!

Our server Grace was incredibly knowledgeable both times we’ve visited. Almost everything on the current menu is gluten free, except when bread is explicitly mentioned. Yes, the fried things are gluten free! Blueprint is our newest go-to Birmingham restaurant for celiac safe eats! Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. The good is fabulous and the staff is knowledgeable about gf. The owner/chef has a gf wife. He did start out using only rice flour and a dedicated fryer, but the taste palates weren’t working. He’s still working on it, and wants to be more gf, but it’s not right now. Just ask which menu items are gf, there will be some, and they’re great. But no gf menu and no dedicated fryer.
This place uses rice flour for all fried items, the only gluten-y food is bread and pasta. Also, everything I've tried tastes AMAZING. The staff is really knowledgable, and please don't miss out on their fantastic cocktail menu that changes regularly.
