I’m a little late posting this (I visited in 11/23), but the food here was so good! Pretty much everything on the menu can be made gluten free. I had the pulled pork mac and cheese and brussels sprouts, along with a tasting flight of cider. No reaction!

Gluten-free fried chicken in St. Louis! Really excellent, especially their sandwiches and fries. Have never had a bad meal here or gotten glutened. Almost everything on the menu can be made GF.

Disappointed to say I had a reaction to the food. The food was also not great; maybe something has changed since the other reviews. Would not recommend.

The food was fine, the service left a lot to be desired.
Very well-seasoned fried chicken, easily the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. The waffles were lackluster, quite soggy and flavorless.
I felt safe while eating, but did not enjoy the experience. I would return if specifically asked by someone but would not pick it again myself.

Went for Sunday brunch a couple weeks ago. They were very busy and didn’t have any open tables, so we sat at the bar. Ordered a great cider flight based on bartender recommendations. Both bartenders were well versed in GF/Celiac. All the ciders are GF, and almost everything on the menu can be made GF. I had toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns, which were all delicious. A great place for Sunday brunch, and I cannot wait to go back for lunch/dinner.

The staff is NOT knowledgeable about gluten. One of the bartenders after learning I was gluten free gave me her favorite recommendations, including bud light beer. If the staff thinks beer is gluten free I have concerns. I got food and was told I would have gluten free bread slices on my sandwich instead of a gf bun because they were out, then a very suspiciously fluffy bun came out. I ate half of it before remembering, asked the server, he did not know if it was gluten free (again not knowledgeable) so he asked the kitchen who allegedly OKed it and said they must have had one bun left. I was so sick for the next two days and I’m not even like crazy sensitive to cross contamination so it must have been the bun. I will not be eating here again.
EDIT: confirmed it was the bun, another commenter said the have Udis, I know an Udis bun when I see it and this was not that. for me to clarify MORE THAN ONCE and them still gluten me is super not cool.

Loved Brick River Cider. Almost everything they make can be made GF. Their fried chicken and the wings are GF as well as all their pizza (“flatbread”) so you don’t have to worry about sauce or oven cross contamination. They also have a dedicated frier for their GF items. Plus their cider is pretty great too! An all around great experience.

Went for Sunday brunch. The GF waffles with fruit and syrup were the best I’ve had, so light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweet. Every item on the menu can be made GF with no up charge. I felt completely safe eating here.

Super menu and super experience as far as environment. Also, they make just about about everything gluten free.
However, we ordered nachos, as an appetizer. They came with the meal, and they had hardly any cheese, no scallions, and the chicken was cold. They had been clearly done for a while.
My chicken sandwich was okay, but it was on soggy bread not buns.
The French fries were okay.
I am a little bummed as it was our last night in St Louis.

Amazing experience!!!! So many options, and the food was so good. For appetizers, we had the spinach artichoke dip, nachos with chicken and salsa, cider brined wings (best wings I’ve ever had), and hummus (no pita, just veggies). For my meal, I got the pulled pork sandwich with a GF bun and French fries (dedicated fryer!!) The best GF bun I’ve ever had - it was soft but not too soft and was fluffy like I remember real bread to be. It didn’t break apart/crumble at all and wasn’t chewy like so many GF buns are. Wish I lived closer so this could be a regular spot!

Found this little gem a couple blocks from Union Station while visiting for a conference. The bartender was great! The cider was so good I tried a flight and all 4 were so good. Then ordered fries and two different flat breads - Texas & Spinich & Mushroom - which was way more than I needed but all was SO good! I can’t recommend this place enough.

Went here bc I saw the menu online had so many GF options. I’m pretty sure everything on the menu is already gluten free or can be modified to be gluten free. I got the chicken and waffles from their Sunday brunch menu. I was very surprised that the waffle was the star of the plate instead of the fried chicken. I think it was the best GF waffle I’ve ever had. The chicken was good but the coating was very hard to cut into and kept separating from the chicken. I think it was maybe just in the fryer for too long. I would definitely come back but I think I would just get the waffle. The place is pretty small with a few tables so I recommend making a reservation beforehand just to be sure you’ll get a table. Overall, the food was great and I had zero reactions.

Stopped in St Louis on my way through and the rude waitress said she “thinks” the fryer is gluten free and then when I asked her to double check she decided to go over it in her mind again and confirm that it was in fact gluten free. That is scary service and the fact that she refuses to check tells me not to eat here. We walked out.

Love this place! The whole menu can be made gluten free at no additional charge :-) I had the pulled pork, which was great.
We ordered a cider flight and all four ciders we tried were unique and very flavorful! You could make out every flavor mentioned in the description (ginger, lavender, peach, etc.). They also offer tours of the cidery which is cool!
Definitely stop by.

This place is AMAZING! The waitress was so good at explaining their precautions and literally everything can be made gluten free. They have such a good staff and the food was soooo good! Had fabulous dinner last night. Ate GF deviled eggs, wings, spinach artichoke dip, pulled pork sandwich (shared with my family, didn’t eat this all myself;-). And a cider flight. Celiac and no symptoms. Absolutely loved the food. Got flourless chocolate torte to go. Wings were salty, loved everything else. Only one waitress and one cook, so they were hustling and the food was worth the wait. LOVE that their menu states “can make anything on the menu GF”.

Really disappointed by Brick River Cider. Am there for lunch after seeing good reviews. Their menu claims anything on menu can be made gluten free.. But after speaking with the server it sounds like anything cooked is going to be cross contaminated. So not celiac safe and I'm stuck with salad once again. Just a bummer.

Small, but cool atmosphere located in an old firehouse. They typically have 6-8 GF alcoholic ciders on tap they brew in-house. Most of their small but tasty menu is naturally GF. The few items that aren’t can be made GF. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about GF restrictions/concerns.

No longer 100% gluten free kitchen (they offer regular buns and pasta), but the full menu is still available gluten free and the food is excellent! I had the Belgian waffle (couldn’t tell you the last time I had a waffle that wasn’t from the freezer) and my husband enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich (he had a regular bun so I can’t speak for their gf option, but apparently the pork was fantastic).

The menu is all gluten free with many options to choose from. The food is delicious! And they serve cornbread with apple butter too. The cider is amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Completely gluten free menu and lovely ciders. The only gluten there is in the local beer they also serve.
