We were in the area celebrating my kids 19th birthday. We had done some sightseeing in Niagara Falls and used the app to find a place with a menu that would appeal to everyone. I’m was floored by all the GF choices. Our waitress Kelsey was very knowledgeable. Everything we had was delicious.

Liked the place so much we made reservations a second day in a row when visiting! First night ordered 'wachos' but with regular fries. Cajun tacos and chocolate gluten free brownie Second night returned with friends and ordered gluten free calamari platter, burger, and creme burlee Both times had wonderful experience and felt safe recommend making a reservation online!

Spent the day in NOTL and this gem of a restaurant came highly recommended. Definitely lived up to the hype. Ate well from large gf offering. Server was knowledgeable. A little off the main strip but well worth the drive.

Had to taste this place for myself after so many wonderful reviews. Wow! Not disappointed. They have a corner of the kitchen that has no cross contact and includes a dedicated fryer. I loved the shrimp taco and sweet spud fries with local wine. Excellent service, value, and menu.

This was our second time going, and it is AMAZING!! This time we got the deep fried pickles, deep fried cheese curds, pulled pork potato skins and the “Wachos” with regular fries instead of waffle fries (waffle fries are not safe, which is stated on the menu). The owners are Celiac, so the knowledge of the staff is outstanding! Dedicated fryer, I never have to have any concerns eating here.

After reading all of the fantastic reviews, we decided to stop here and give it a try. The menu selections for gf are outstanding, as was the knowledge of our waitress about celiac disease, gluten free and food allergies. She answered every question we had with ease and ensured with the kitchen that each dish we ordered was safe. We went wild trying many appetizers and mains. Our family of 4 agreed that the pulled pork potato skins were absolutely amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed the deep fried cheese curds and deep fried pickles as our appies. The Nashville fried chicken was crowd favourite, as were the fries. We can’t wait for our next trip back to try more items from their extensive gluten free option menu. We would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, gluten free food safety, food quality and food quantity, and for the kind staff that greeted us and served us. Thank you for a fantastic experience ❤

Felt completely safe eating here. They have a dedicated fryer and asked if we were gluten intolerant or celiac. Food was good (but not great by our European standards) and there was lots of choice. The crème brûlée was delicious!!

My family and I were visiting the area and after seeing the reviews, gave it a try. The food was delicious - we got appetizers to share - fried curds, fried pickles, poutine, garlic tots - as well as the BB salad. Everything was delicious, especially knowing that it was gluten free. The local cider was great as well. We liked it so much we came back the next night for takeout pizza- pepperoni and the Canadian, on gluten free crust - which was also wonderful. Highly recommend for a great variety of delicious options!

Sensitive Celiac-my experience was phenomenal. Nashville Hot Fried Chicken, Poutine, Burgers, Glutenberg Beer… guys this place is it. The owners wife is celiac and most of the items are GF naturally. Dedicated fryer. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Only complaint is slow staff/don’t check on you often. But not sick. Food was super delicious. Take the drive there. MAKE reservations. Just do it. Trust me. We did and they filled up fast. We made them right off of Google.

We made a special trip from North Toronto just to have lunch at Bricks and Barley and it was fantastic! Chicken wings, sweet potato fries, Brocc n Cauli Bites - all delicious. Our server understood and ensured a safe meal. We had a chance to chat with the manager and he indicated that they are working to source more GF ingredients so that they can expand their GF menu. Definitely worth the drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake!

We traveled from New York and saw many positive reviews on here and on Facebook. Definitely did not disappoint! I ordered poutine as an appetizer and then a gf wood fired pizza. Both were very good. Definitely need a reservation though. We had a reservation set up but had to cancel due to issues at our hotel so we thought we would just show up and found no open tables. Thankfully the hostess found us two seats at the bar.

My husband is celiac and very sensitive to cross contamination. He doesn't feel comfortable eating out because of this and on the rare occassion that he has he has been sick for days. Our choices are either not to go out, or he has to eat first and watch everyone else eat at the restaurant. We were recommended this restaurant by our local gluten free bakery and are so thrilled that we gave it a shot. We ate here on a recent trip to Niagara Falls and it was incredible. Not only was the food amazing, but it was so nice to be able to eat somewhere that was safe for my husband. There are so many gluten free options, a gluten free fryer and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my husband could eat safely. We will absolutely be eating here again. The only downside is that it isn't closer to home.

I have been there previously & had awesome meals. My sister is GF & LF, I am GF & DF. I took my sister in December telling her how amazing this place. My sister had obviously checked out the menu prior to going to decide on her meal. However, we were told the menu had changed when she couldn’t find what she wanted on the menu. She pointed out to them that their online GF menu hadn’t been updated. We decided on our meals & our appetizers were pretty tasty. Dinner however was a disaster. My sisters dinner order were tacos that apparently are served cold & my pizza was like a crispy cracker. I couldn’t have any Dairy based sauces they eliminated goats cheese from their menu. It was beyond defeating. I told the manager I understood having to update/change menus but I wouldn’t be coming back.

I've eaten here three times so far - whenever we're in town for a getaway. They've always been very knowledgeable about celiac, ingredients and cross contamination. My latest visit I did confirm twice that they had dedicated gluten free fryers after reading one of the reviews. Everything was fantastic - highly recommend the fried pickles and cheese curds. I normally react very quickly if cross contaminated and had no issues ever. I'm very strict and feel comfortable eating here.

***there is no dedicated gluten free fryer*** Celiacs beware!! I was here a year ago and was told the chicken tenders and poutine were safe. Came here this October & was told there is no dedicated dryer and gluten free foods are cooked in a shared fryer. Extremely disappointed as most of the gluten free items are not even celiac safe as they share a fryer with gluten food. :/ the food is good, but there’s not many options for celiacs
It looks as though other servers are telling people the fryers are safe, but my server was also celiac & advised me that they do not have a dedicated fryer

Even our 6 year old found something to order! We enjoyed the calamari, kids cheeseburger with fries, GF beer battered fish fry with poutine 😍. Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Canada!

I ordered the deep fried curds for everyone to share (YUM! Must try!) and then I had the chicken blt burger (gluten version is a wrap) on a GF bun with hot sauce on the chicken tenders and poutine on the side. The contents of the burger were delicious! My bun (this is how I knew it was GF for sure LOL) was very crumbly as they tend to be. My poutine was cold :(
The service was really slow, but we had a brand new server so she was on the learning curve.
My kids enjoyed their food, my husband said his breakfast burger was over-cooked (dry) and the egg was hard, also over-cooked.
I feel fine today so I didn’t get glutened, and I know I sound critical but overall we were pleased with the restaurant.

Loved this place. Separate gluten free menu with tons of options. Dedicated fryer. Felt good to have safe gluten free bar type food again. I had the chicken tenders with thai sweet chili sauce and sweet potato fries and it was super delicious. Waitress was very knowledge about celiac disease and the need for avoiding cross contamination. She also made sure to ask about any other allergies when taking order. Before leaving to submit our order she confirmed that mine was due to celiac. I had a burger (no bun by choice) and cup of the soup of the day and it was delicious. They have quite an extensive GF menu (multiple pages). The menu does have a disclaimer that gluten free items are made in an area when gluten items are present and cannot guarantee that cross contamination will not occur. However, waitress stated that she would let kitchen staff know as they will clean grill/prep space before making my meal. I highly recommend.
Edited on June 4, 2021:
Shout out to Bricks and Barley for an amazingly delicious takeout dinner! Being the only celiac in our family last night, they made sure to make me aware that they have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free menu items. My partner and I both had Fish and Chips; he couldn’t tell his fish had a gluten-free batter on it! It was the BEST gluten-free fish batter I have ever had! The rest of the family shared a Supreme Pizza, some jumbo wings, Caesar salad and Buffalo Chicken Wontons (apparently they taste just like Buffalo Chicken Wing dip and are delish 😋). Everything was hot, fish was still crispy once we got it home, and everyone was very pleased with their meals!
I just wanted to thank the person that took my order yesterday for ensuring the kitchen was made aware of my needs. I wanted to also thank the kitchen staff for taking the time and care to ensure my meal was free from cross-contamination and labeling my dinner as “GF”. 🙏🏻💛
I highly recommend Bricks and Barely for their delicious food and awesome service!!!

Honestly the best gluten free pizza I’ve had ever, better than gf pizza in Europe. Server very knowledgeable, gluten free items marked easily. We’ve gone back twice already!!!

the business is new and the service is slow. they were supposed to have an in house gluten free beer when they opened, it's still not available. I've had the buffalo chicken fingers and ravioli. both gluten free. chicken fingers were good. I think the ravioli made me sick. I had a reaction to something I had, so it wasn't entirely gluten free.
