Great tasting gf burgers and fries. The staff were helpful and marked my order to ensure they used the dedicated fryer.

Amazing experience! While I had to ask about gf options, I had quite a few options. The burger I had (Caprese) was one of the best I’ve ever had. The gf bun was really good (not dry but big so I ended up taking most of the top bun off). They have a dedicated fryer so I got to have fries as well!! They have a few salad options and the staff checked with the chef about certain ingredients in sauces and dressings as I explored options. SUPER YUMMY and I would definitely go back!

I don’t know why celiacs with sensitivity are ok eating here at all. The manager readily admitted to me that they take no precautions to prevent cross contamination. IF you request that the buns NOT be toasted, they will NOT put them through the shared toaster, otherwise they do. The “dedicated” fryer is directly adjacent to the contaminated one, so splashing can definitely occur. And they even said crumbs and shared prep utensils are everywhere. They put aluminum foil on the grill to cook a celiac burger, but do not use separate prep areas consistently. They were not busy when I went either. It was 3pm on a Monday. Be warned that if it is important to you to not get sick on vacation, I wouldn’t chance this.

Gluten free bun options and a knowledgeable staff. When we went, the dedicated GF fryer was broken, and we appreciated the proactive heads up. Our server also confirmed with the kitchen when we had questions. I had the Californian burger and my celiac spouse had the fancy grilled cheese. The buns were soft - not a standard Udi’s or other national chain that I could tell - and tasty. The food all around was good, though the house salad was underwhelming as a fry alternative. The gluten eaters in our party enjoyed their hot dog, chicken club, and grilled cheese.

Chose this place bc of reviews, and they were absolutely fabulous. Cameron our waiter took the time to explain the dedicated fryer and their ability to keep my food GF (I’m celiac). Delish and fast but most of all, Cameron was attentive and knowledgeable and helpful- he made the experience so excellent for us!

9/27/22 update: I am a local, and I think I figured out why some people have gotten sick here. Yesterday I ordered a burger with a gluten-free bun, tots, and regular french fries. The regular french fries and tots are made in a dedicated fryer. I told them not to toast my gluten-free bun and keep it separate and then I would put it together myself with the hamburger and toppings. My order was to go and the bun was in a separate container. However, once I got it out to assemble I noticed the bun was toasted. I called back to talk to them about it and the person that took my order checked with the kitchen and they said that they ran my gluten-free bun through the toaster that they run regular buns through. Then later I went back in person and was told that they normally toast gluten-free buns on a separate skillet where no other buns go so they weren’t sure why the kitchen didn’t do it the way they are supposed to. When I asked more about the skillet and if there was any possible cross-contact with gluten, he did say that they put french fries in bowls either above or on or near that skillet. I told him that was OK because the tots and regular fries are gluten-free. But he said no they also put sidewinder fries which contain beer and are not made in their dedicated fryer in that area. too. So it’s possible people have gotten sick if a crumb from the sidewinder fries falls or if they mistakenly toast a gluten-free bun in the toaster with all the other regular buns and don’t follow their allergy protocols. They were supposed to talk to their staff about this to make sure it’s always done correctly in the future. It sounds like staffing has been difficult since Covid began. From now on, I will be telling them to keep my gluten-free bun in the plastic wrapping so I can make sure that neither situation happens because I am super sensitive and don’t want to get sick. I have never gotten sick here and want to make sure it stays that way.
Older post: We had an excellent GF/DF experience here! The burger was amazing (they use Udi's buns). My son had the regular fries which he loved and I had the sweet potato tots ... never had anything like that before; they very unique and delicious. They have a dedicated GF fryer. Also, somebody else wondered how their buns got toasted so I asked. They have a dedicated grill that they use. I definitely plan to frequent this place. Just great to have a safe and delicious burger and fries again! Probably the best burger we've had GF/DF! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

So good! Such great staff! We went for our anniversary. 1.5 hrs from home. The gf fryer wasn’t fired up when we arrive (right@ opening) but they got in it. They gave us a financial break for the wait. Cool, hip atmosphere. Manager came to check on us. Arianna was our server and she took really good care of us. The entire staff understands celiac. I recommend this place when you are in Tahoe.

Food was just okay, conscious of gluten free needs. Liked the sweet potato tots, but beware the upcharges. $5 for a gluten free bun, $2 for NO bun on lettuce. $3.50 added on for bacon and another $3.50 for avocado that was supposed to be included on the burger.

My burger and Gluten-Free bun was delicious! They were also able to make gluten free fries. When I said I had celiac, they knew exactly what I was talking about and easily accommodated it. Most things on the menu were clearly labeled that they could be made Gluten-Free so I had plenty of options.

Second time eating here. My daughter had a burger no bun with cheese and the fries. I had the burger with the GF bun. The bun was tasty and did not fall apart. I didn’t eat much of it just bc I’m used to eating burgers with no bun and it was too much bread for me. Neither of us got sick afterwards.

Very much enjoyed eating here. Waitress knew Celiac issues and told me what I couldn’t have cause most everything could’ve be made safe and with Udi buns. And the sweet potato taters are fried in their own oil! Food was great. And our waitress Reed was attentive to us all.

I ordered a burger with a gf bun and before I could even finish my order the waitress asked if I had an allergy. I said yes and she said she would mark it so the kitchen staff knew. She also said the fryer was dedicated gf so I could have the fries. It was awesome that she was so knowledgeable. I felt like I was in good hands. My burger was delicious and the fries were so good!

They have AMAZING french fries and a dedicated gf fryer. If you eat nothing else, the fries alone are worth it. My family had regular burgers and they were good. Nothing exciting. Honestly, did not have a burger, but went with a caprese salad with chicken. Pretty tasty and felt the preparation was done well.

This place was on the ball! The servers and kitchen communicated and even checked to see if the dedicated gf fryer had been changed recently. I got a burger, and it was tasty, unfortunately the fryer hadn’t been drained in a couple of days, and they said stuff could fall in, so I opted for the salad. I had no reaction and I’m super sensitive. They were also good for my dairy intolerance too.

Went by here today. After being told everything was very safe and careful, additional process questions revealed that they run the udi buns through the same toaster conveyor as the other buns. Im no guinea pig, if things don't check out I don't try it. Through my research so far, none of the restaurants in south lake tahoe are safe.

Staff was very helpful! my son also has diabetes. The waitress went an looked how many carbs are in the hamburger bun and how many oz of French fries he will get with his meal. I was very thankful for the staff. We will definitely be eating there again

Excellent. Menu clearly indicates gf items and staff are familiar with gluten allergy practices. I ordered the spinach salad which had house made bacon bits, dried berries, almonds, mushrooms and vinegarette
Friendly knowledgeable staff! Dedicated fryer! And buns for your hamburger!
Yes
The staff was killing the gf game... I’m talking separate fryers, separate dishes when my non-celiac boyfriend and I wanted to share his fries, they asked immediately if it was an allergy or preference. Food was incredible and came quickly. Great vibes, inside and outside seating. Highly recommend.

Great food, gf burger buns, and great whisky!

Yum! Staff was knowledgeable. They have gluten free buns (udi’s) and a dedicated fryer for sides. The Bob’s burger with sweet potato tots was delicious.
The server was knowledgeable about Gluten Free and was helpful. I had a Blues Brothers burger with the gluten free bun and fries. Asked that the kitchen staff change gloves. The burger and fries were amazing. No adverse affects or reactions of any kind from the food. I would definitely eat there again.

Excellent place to eat. Gluten Free items on the menu, dedicated fryer, plenty of options to choose from and best of all it was good food. Servers were very aware of gluten free items and restrictions. Had the Beef Chili, Bob’s Burger with French Fries.

Great location, had a nice view and listened to live music. Food was okay and had knowledge staff, but overpriced. I wanted to order a teriyaki pineapple burger, but was told in order to make it GF they couldn't do the teriyaki. That defeated the whole purpose, so I ordered something else. Ended up just getting a cheeseburger on the Udis bun, with the sweet potato tots. Burger wasn't anything special, but tots were good. Didn't realize it was an extra $3 for the bun, until the check came out. If we knew that, I would have done the lettuce wrap. Milkshake was okay. Good atmosphere, decent food, didn't get sick, but a bit overpriced.
Yes
My family and I ate there last night. I explained to the waiter that I have Celiac Disease and he assured me that the kitchen staff was knowledgeable. I ordered a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. Unfortunately, after a few bites I noticed that my bun was the same as the non gluten free buns. So for that, I give this restaurant a 3/5. What stopped me from going lower was that the manager comped our entire tables dinner and drink bill.

Staff was super knowledgeable about GF. Dedicated fryer for the fries.

Fantastic GF burgers, fries, and wings! Enough said.
A++++ The greatest service ever. So kind and helpful. They know what they’re doing here. I am a very sensitive Celiac and I did not get dick. Food was delicious. Great live music and nice outdoor eating area. They were more than accommodating !
All their sandwiches and burgers could be made with gluten free buns/bread. Designated fryer for GF French fries. Great hamburgers!
Great menu. GF buns were great! Did not fall apart... like real buns. Great ambiance with outside seating. Local musician was great.
