Great experience at CPK. Gluten free pizza was brought out by manager and was delish!

I’ve eaten here in the past. Each time I get the certified gluten free bbq pizza. The first two times, the manager brought the pizza out and was very helpful. However this last time I asked for a gluten free pizza and was just given my pizza by a random server and there was no stick stating that it was gluten free. I decided to ask another sever if they could check for me. In fact it was not certified gluten free. Finally the pizza was brought out by the kitchen manager. They may have just been having an off day. But always double check!
Expensive but good food! Can only get the pizza if you’re gf.

Manager is Celiac if that tells you how much emphasis is on safety. That said - my server said cross-contamination is always a possibility no matter how hard they try to avoid. Note that you can order ANY pizza such as The Works on a GFree crust. Food always great here. Cider and GFree beer plus spirits and wine. Very good GFree pizza.

One of my favorites for GFree pizza! Delicious! I have never had reactions from the pizza. I rarely get other items like salads or apps that are denoted GFree as I had mild reactions in the past.
The first incarnation of California Pizza Kitchen's gluten-free pizza tasted awful and made me horribly sick. This time around, they've done everything right, and the pizzas are not only made properly, but they are downright tasty. The BBQ chicken pizza is definitely one of my favorites!
wife had GF salad and was assured even dressing was gf-some made her react horribly-CPK corp responded to inquiry, now waiting for local site to follow uo at corp's request.
California Pizza Kitchen had a Gluten free pizza a couple of years ago and didn't do it right. They pulled the pizza and went to GiG to do it right the second time. I feel like they really care and worked hard to be safe. The staff was knowledgeable and very careful with my sons food. The pizza is cooked in a rimmed pan so it doesn't touch any other pizza. They also only use rice flour to roll out all their pizzas so no risk of wheat flour in the air. They also use color coded utensils so no chance of using a gluten contaminated pizza cutter. And the pizza tasted wonderful! My son wants to go every day!

No gluten free pizza! So disappointed and the waitress had no explanation as to why.
Eaten here 2x and have not gotten sick. The crust does taste gluten free (find me a gluten free crust that doesn't taste gluten free), but it's what's on top of the crust that is the real deal.

Impressed that you could ask for their certified GF pizzas on the kids menu. Our coeliac daughter was very happy with her cheese pizza which came out with a GF flag by a differed server with gloves on. No ill effects. It has been very hard finding safe and appealing choices for her on our travels in America so definitely a happy customer.

It’s always a risk at pizza places that aren’t dedicated GF, but we felt assured that the staff takes good precautions to avoid cross contamination here. And the pizza was very tasty.
