Very limited dairy free items. Basically wings and meat are fine to get. Staff is very unknown about what is dairy free,
was not offered a gluten free menu. was told they did not have one.
Their GF menu was extremely limited, salads and random appetizers. And it was very expensive for the quantity and quality.
Friday night was my first time ever at CAH. I was with 6 friends and we had a wait for a bit, but it wasn't a bad wait! When we were seated, we were placed inside next to the projected screen. Immediately the flashing of the projector began to bother my sister, who has epilepsy. After explaining that to our server, and asking if we could get a different table, she immediately went to see if we could be moved. She explained that we were being moved to the patio. Once we were outside, we met our new server, and she was awesome! I had heard that CAH had a pretty good Gluten Free menu. The food was so good! I didn't become ill, which is a huge plus for me. Not only did they make sure my sister would have an uneventful and enjoyable evening, but the food really was Gluten Free.
Yes
The Carolina Ale house technically has a gf menu - a very limited one. A couple apps, grilled meats, steamed veggies. Tried the grilled wings with sauce, sauce was so thin it didn't stay on the wings, which were very chewy. This place has the potential to do better if they wanted - add a gf bun and it opens up almost the whole menu - add a side besides steamed veggies!

Waitress was fine, I've been there twice but they don't seem to understand the severity of needing to make sure my salad has no croutons... There's not many options. Maybe 3 options? One is a salad, the others are expensive.

When we sat down we asked the hostess about a gluten free menu or options and she said she would ask the manager. When the waitress came to take our drink orders she asked if we had asked about gluten free options. She told us that nothing on their menu could really be considered gluten free and they don’t really do that. She was nice but seemed annoyed at the request. I got a grilled chicken cob salad and it was pretty good and at least pretty low gluten but more than likely had some cross contamination.

The waitress tried her best to make sure my meal was gluten free. Unfortunately it was not. All of the sauces are made in house, but the kitchen staff was unsure what was in it. Wouldn’t recommend

I ate here last night and ended up getting sick afterward. The staff were friendly, answered my questions, and checked on things with the kitchen. I wouldn’t say they were knowledgeable, but were willing to help. However, I still ended up not feeling well.
I got the Ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Based on their allergen menu, this was all no wheat, no other gluten labeled. Im not sure what went wrong, but I wont be back and I wouldn’t recommend. Nit many GF options at all.

I was excited because my waitress, when I said I have celiac disease, said they have a gluten free specialist in the house. She came over and asked me how sensitive I was to gluten - obviously I said I could have none (celiac) - and she gave me a good list of recommendations. I ended up eating the spinach dip with fresh carrots and celery as well as the salmon, which I was told both were safe. I was glutened unfortunately :( if you are going for “gluten free” this is a totally fine place to go but for gluten sensitive and definitely celiacs im not sure this is safe… I am so grateful for the waitresses who helped me but this did not work for me :/
