I get nervous about going to restaurants with a chance of cross contamination but they handled it so well here!! They washed their hands, changed gloves and got new utensils. She told me they have people come in with gluten allergies (celiac) all the time and they have employee training for how to avoid cross contamination.

Great experience! Workers were trained and handled it so well! They put on new gloves, got all new serving utensils and got a new lettuce. Definitely would go there again! Had no allergic reaction at all.

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Love Chipotle! They wash their hands, change gloves and use separate utensils. That same person makes my whole order. If I want lettuce, they will get it from an unopened bin so as not to grab any possible contaminated lettuce from the bin currently being used.
The staff used all new utensils and made sure everyone put on new gloves. There staff is very well trained .

My favorite place to eat since being gf! Outstanding selection with soft and hard corn tortillas. Love it.
I went to the one on Veterans. When I asked for corn tortillas and stated that I had gluten allergies the lady handling the tortillas did nothing different. She threw them in the same steamer as any other shell would have gone into. I am not super sensitive so I am not overly concerned, but it would have been nice if she would have acknowledged me. The tacos were really good, but now I am waiting for the after effects if she used the wrong tortillas or they were contaminated enough to impact me.

Server was not very knowledgeable about cross-contamination, so asked her manager without me suggesting it. Manager was VERY aware of CC issues and walked employee through the process while explaining WHY these precautions are necessary! It was fantastic, in addition to having generous portions! Will definitely go back!!
Best GF fast food experience so far. They didn’t make me feel weird or like I took too much time. I told them I have a gluten allergy and the line stopped. They changed spoons for what I ordered, wiped down the counter, got out fresh cheese and lettuce, changed gloves, and one person took charge of my order seeing it through to the end of the line. I know there’s still a risk, but I’m thankful for all they did to help me eat with my family.

I was a little concerned when I read it had been two years since the last review, but I went and as soon as I told the server I had celiac, she immediately offered to wipe down the surfaces and change gloves. She did it so cheerfully also!

Lots of gluten free options, good choice for catering, and ability to sort through gluten free options by using their dietary filter online. There are good options available if you're dairy free/vegan as well!

While there’s obviously a chance of cross contamination, the workers here are very nice and accommodating. Everything except for the tortillas is gluten free. I always ask them to change their gloves and this past time a worker felt her glove touch the tortillas after changing them so she immediately changed them again! They never have a problem getting lettuce or cheese from the back which I appreciate! I have not had a reaction here yet and I am very sensitive!

I told the server I was gluten sensitive, and she immediately changed gloves and handled all my food herself.
