Avoid Chuy’s altogether if you have Celiac or a strong sensitivity to gluten. There is virtually nothing on their menu that is safe. The staff is clueless. I’ve heard anecdotal reports of kitchen staff and management virtually turning away anyone in need of a GF meal. I personally ordered the one item on the menu that the server indicated was GF, that looked to me most likely to be GF. I took some gluten-digesting enzymes with it to try and be safe, and I still got sick. Needless to say, I can’t imagine I’ll ever be going again.

Got sick both times I’ve tried to eat here.

When here with family I asked if they had a GF menu, they literally have not one item that is gluten free if you look on the nutritional pages on the website. Really says a lot about the quality of food. It is all processed nothing fresh here so nothing they can do to help you eat. Many other good places in the area to eat.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Have been wanting to try since they opened. Granted it was Friday night, but waitress took drinks order, asked if they had a GF menu was told “no- I’ll try to find someone to help you if someone’s not too busy”. Waited for 15 minutes for no one to even acknowledge us. Very poor service!

There is nothing on their menu that is gluten-free. The manager I talked to was uneducated on gluten allergy. He actually told me that he didn't think there could very much gluten contamination danger in foods fried in communal oil. Beware!
We called ahead because we were meeting friends. The manager my husband spoke with made it seem like he wouldn't have much to pick from but that they could accommodate gluten free as well as a seafood allergy. We arrive and he spoke with a different manager and she said that we shouldn't even be there and there was absolutely no way they could accommodate either. She said they don't (and wouldn't) change gloves between fish and chicken, seafood is prepared in the same place as salads and there is gluten in vertically all of their products and the few things that don't contain it are still completely unsafe because of how they run their kitchen. We ended up leaving before being seated and eating elsewhere. Absolutely not celiac friendly and honestly I don't think it would be a good option for anyone avoiding gluten or with any type of food allergies.

Separate GF menu. I had enchiladas on corn tortillas with one of the safe sauces plus a crunchy taco. It was delicious and staff was knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience at Chuy’s. The manager and majority of the staff were very knowledgeable on what items are gluten free items! Their chips are made in a dedicated fryer. And corn tortillas are gluten free. Staff was so kind to let me know all the gluten free sauces that were options. Their fajita meat is not gluten free. I had the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas and they were delicious. No cross contamination and I feel great after my meal. I’m making Chuy’s my permanent Mexican food spot in OKC!

Even though they have a GF menu, they will not guarantee it will actually be GF. All their meat proteins have gluten - from the marinade. The chips are not GF either. Very disappointing.

The GM was extremely knowledgeable about the processes and cross contamination! Chips at this location are celiac safe, boom boom sauce, and jalapeno ranch as well!
