Loved it ! Gluten ‘sensitive ‘ designations on the menu . They have a GF bun available for some of the burgers . I asked if I could have the avocado and egg breakfast on the GF bun since all other items on the entree were GF . They were easily able to do this and bonus points bc it was delicious

Their menu marks what is “gluten sensitive” - and they define that as the food does not contain gluten - but they make it clear that they cannot promise it isn’t cross contaminated.
I got the kung pao cauliflower which was marked GS, and it was quite delicious, but I unfortunately had a reaction. It was my risk to go for it.
Also several ciders on tap, but no GF beers at the time I was there.

This place is amazing! Came here 2 days in a row while visiting Pittsburgh. Mathew, our waiter was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations! I had the chicken wing dip/salad/grilled chicken sandwich. And had the scorpion burger (in the 2 days). Did not get sick! Love it❤❤❤❤

Was very crowded however we had an attentive waiter. I ordered the chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun. The bun was Hilltop Hearth. The grilled chicken was a little overdone and had black charcoal marks on it, it not my favorite taste so I requested bbq sauce on side and dipped in sauce. I didn’t order the BBQ ribs but I saw on menu ribs are gluten free and the sauce was tangy and good. You can order any burger or sandwich gluten free.
City Works is a great spot to go when you're downtown. I've had sandwiches there but mainly I get the chopped salad and most of the time when I go it is flagged with an allergen toothpick. Wish there was a dedicated fryer, but staff is very accommodating!

They do not have a separate fryer for fries :( Other than that their burgers were delicious, so was the kungpao cauliflower. Never had anything that tasty in vegetarian before. It's been a couple of hours and I am craving it again! Servers were very helpful.

I ordered the Smoked Chicken Wings and the smoked ribs withcreamed corn and baked beans-both options were Nima tested an came back with a smile! Food was pretty good, all their sauces are house made. For drinks they have some celiac friendly cocktails and a super short list of ciders (compared to their 90 gluten-beer taps!!). I would prefer if they had some awesome gluten free beers on tap or even some more unique ciders. Service was great and atmosphere was awesome.

We got buffalo dip to share and I ordered a burger w/ GF bun. Good menu options. I didn’t discuss needs with staff, so can’t comment as to their knowledge base. But a good experience none the less.
Great food! I am super sensitive with gluten, did not have any issues. Love this place.

Great food!! Amazing gf pasta! I got pasta with bacon and basil with melted cheese and it was fantastic. Gf wigs and chip and dip!! Fun sports environment. Tv’s everywhere!! Would definitely go back!!!

As others have said, there are limited options but they are knowledgeable and the options are yummy! I had their signature salad and it was great!
Yes
small gluten free menu, but they are safe with your order. they wrote down the allergies on a paper that the manager needs to sign off on. Would come again
Knowledgable but limited. Salad I had was really good. Great wine pour

Enjoyed my GF City Works chicken salad. Limited options but all are clearly marked on the menu.
They have a small (about 5 items) gluten free menu. Server was knowledgeable. I had a burger and fries. Bun was good. No sickness.
I ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and it was delicious! They didn't have as many options as I expected for other meals..my choices were salads, steak, or burgers. The waiter took my order and told me unfortunately the fries have a risk of cross contamination and suggested a side salad instead as the side. The burger bun has sesame on it as a warning for anyone who has a sesame allergy.
Everything was delicious and I felt safe!

A few menu items marked with GS... gluten sensitive, no separate menu. However, our server was very knowledgeable and spoke about cross contamination avoidance. My grilled chicken sandwich came with an "allergy" pick, which I always appreciate, the bun was actually quite tasty, which was a nice surprise. No fried items due to 1 fryer. No reaction and a nice family meal out.

The waitress was very attentive and put an allergy alert tag with my order, wrote no cross contamination and talked to the chef. However I still ended up getting sick following dinner. The food was good but I would eat at your own risk.

I called ahead to check that they had some GF protocols in the kitchen - they were able to confirm they prep the food in a different area. Knowing others have had good experiences at the Wheeling location, I felt comfortable going and the waiter had no issue understanding celiac and gluten free needs. I got the City Works burger with a GF bun, which amazingly had no up-charge!! I don’t think the fryer is safe but I didn’t even ask (they couldn’t confirm on the phone) and got the side salad. The bun was a bit dry and it was handled better with a knife and fork but I didn’t get sick! They have plenty of hard seltzers in a can as well. Would go back for the burger.
