Perfect for a kick lunch/coffee. Used to be 100% gluten free but they now have some items with gluten in it. The staff is still very knowledgeable and the are very careful with cross contamination within their kitchen.

This place was a disappointment. The establishment’s door is painted with “GF/SG” but it is NOT a dedicated gluten free place. It seems extremely weird to market yourself as a gluten free place but then randomly have gluten items too - especially in a small space.

They make sandwiches and prepared foods with gluten and gluten free options, and cross contamination can definitely occur. They also do GF and gluten baked goods - so possibility of flour flying everywhere? When I was served, they didn’t specify “gluten free” or anything. The food and baked goods also weren’t that good.

I appreciate restaurants that add in gluten free options and CC protocols but to be a GF place (and advertise yourself as so) but add in gluten just feels like a slap in the face to Celiacs.

Great selection of muffins and bars for breakfast. I’m sure lunch is even better. Lots of cookies and sweets that I didn’t sample due to the early hour. Nice BIG cup of tea too!

Not dedicated gf, and while they have specific plans to avoid cross-contamination, accidents can occur. We ordered a gf grilled cheese and were unfortunately given one with gluten. For reference, the grill up front is gluten, the grill in the back is gf. While the restaurant has apologized, perhaps marking the bags as gluten-free vs gluten-containing would help avoid mixups in the future.

Sunny nice café, we got there later in the day so i didn't get to try the gluten-free croissants. While small, seemed to have a nice variety of food and almost all the dessert options were gluten-free.

Beautiful selection although I had the experience of another reviewer that everything was good not amazing. So I would say worth trying if you’re in area. Maybe not worth making a special trip for if you can go to one of the other GF bakeries. Location is convenient if you’re seeing notre dame or in old port. They have separate kitchen for all GF goods. The non-gf items are made next door

I was really looking forward to trying this bakery, but I didn’t feel it was all it was hyped up to be. I had a muffin and a chocolate coconut bar. Both were fine, but neither were incredibly noteworthy gf baked goods. I tend to travel with people who aren’t gluten free and if the gf items aren’t something that I would want that person to eat, it’s not a place I would choose to go back to. They do have a few non gf pastries, but they were very clearly kept separate so I didn’t have any problems with that.

Edit note: they used to be entirely gf but now they have a small case of non-gf offerings. I still find them very knowledgeable about cross contact, they have a separate panini press for the gf grilled cheeses etc. have had no problems :)

There is quite a variety of gluten free baked goods. We tried muffins, cupcakes and oat bars. There was a tiny case of gluten items, but it was well marked and separated. It’s a cute bakery- we loved it!

Very impressed with Cookie Stefanie. A super tasty GF croissant and grilled cheese on GF bread and both very reasonably priced. They were also super attentive of my nut allergy (which sadly meant I couldn’t eat any of the delicious looking desserts).

We came here for brunch, and the food was delicious! We got a small prepackaged salad that seemed very fresh and came with a small container of dressing, a mochaccino that is not too sweet, And we got a pastry that was like carrot cake but made with dates, and topped with some sugary fudge. Those were all delicious, but by far the best was the bacon grilled cheese sandwich... The cheese is extremely stringy and the sandwich is cooked to order, it only took a minute and is delicious. We might come back here tomorrow morning for breakfast as well!

The service was friendly and prompt, it is counter service with maybe a dozen or so high top seats looking out over the street.

GF grilled cheese and baked goods available. They now offer gluten-containing foods as well, so it does not feel as safe as it used to. Prepared salads and sandwiches also include a warning: prepared with gluten free ingredients but cannot guarantee fully gluten free.

Not a great option for lunch, especially for lactose intolerant, as the only hot food on the menu is a grilled cheese sandwich. But a great spot for a sweet treat.

Cookie Stefanie was our first stop in Montreal and it did not disappoint. They have a huge selection of gluten-free baked goods-- cookies, pastries, brownies, etc. We enjoyed a triangular nanaimo bar type treat. YUM! Even better, they have a nice selection of salads and made the most amazing gluten-free grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. They have a dedicated GF panini press and dedicated gf space in their kitchen. They DO sell some items containing gluten, so read your labels. That said, I 100% trust that they understand cross-contamination and take all efforts to avoid it. My son who is very sensitive to gluten and has Celiac did NOT react at all to his meal and enjoyed it very much.

This is an amazing gluten free bakery that I visit every time I'm in Montreal. Once I brought my very picky boyfriend with me, and he admitted he never would have guessed that our lite lunch (adorable open faced sandwiches!) and cupcakes were gluten free. Cookie Stefanie is a GF food tourist's delight.

Wow! Everything was delicious. Loved the tuna salad. My celiac child loved the egg panini sandwich. My GF child loved the cherry pop (choc covered cherry with choc cake) and we all loved the carrot cake. We were here on my 10yo’s bday and he enjoyed the mini cupcake too!
