Del Mar Rendezvous

This is in the Del Mar mall , street level, where Pacifica Del Mar and Il Fornaio are. I was craving Chinese and it has outdoor tables so we thought we'd try it. Service was abysmal. We waited 45 min for our food. We were on the cusp of bailing all together when it arrived. Food was tasty but they warned us they don't control for cross-contamination. I would not go back. I did see many drivers picking up to go orders so maybe they manage those orders better.

We have eaten here many times over the years and have never had a problem with gluten. The food is good and celiac safe!

Not flavorful food. Took a long time. Got several orders wrong around us. I did not feel safe here. And it didn’t taste great.

AMAZING! Biggest GF Chinese menu I’ve ever seen! So yummy! Server was excellent and brought out GF sauces and directed out which dishes were GF.

Their egg flour soup is very tasty if you like yours with lots of yolk flavoring. Their shrimp pad Thai was also really good...a tad spicy but super flavorful. The Mongolian beef was different than I’m used to, but the meat was really fresh tasting and I ended up really enjoying the dish. They had tamari sauce available. Would definitely return.

I was so excited to try this place out because of the reviews. We ordered off of the gluten free menu. I tested my meal with my Nima sensor and it came back with gluten found. Huge bummer. :-/

Lots of gluten free menu options (ask for the gluten free menu). The Hot & Sour soup is delicious, as is the Ma Po Tofu.

The best gluten free food we have eaten. Servers were knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic! Very good food, and the staff was so knowledgeable and understanding about my concerns. My waiter was switched mid-meal, but it was very obvious that my previous waiter informed the new waiter of my dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated.

I am a highly sensitive Celiac with other food related autoimmune issues. It's rare to find a restaurant where I feel safe enough to relax and enjoy my meal. This place has never disappointed me. The food is phenomenal, the wine list is good, and the staff are always accommodating. Doesn't hurt its in a beautiful beach town as well. Great place!

I love the gluten free noodle dishes. This feels like a rare treat.

This year we spent Valentine's Day dinner at Rendezvous in Del Mar. They had a set menu for the evening, but also maintained having all of the items on their gluten free menu available. They called twice before we arrived this evening to go over my menu concerns with having Celiac Disease and other food allergies. When our waiter came to our table, he even had a list of all of my allergies and food concerns written on a piece of paper, and made sure to go over any questions I had about what to order. Rendezvous has an extensive gluten free and vegan menu that also caters to other food allergies. On the restaurant's website they also have a video you can watch to show you some of the gluten free options on their menu. It's great to go to a restaurant where you don't feel like you need to modify everything to make it safe for you to eat there without having issues. All of the food we ate was fresh and delicious, I can't wait to go back!

Located in the beautiful beach town of Del Mar, this restaurant has been popular since it opened in 2004 for its modern twist on Asian cuisine. It now it offers separate vegetarian/ vegan and gluten-free menus so everyone in your party will fi nd something to enjoy. Start with chicken or veggie lettuce wraps and then choose from a variety of rice noodles and other fl avorful entrees. Or, order family style. You'll want to sample it all!

Wonderful food and even better staff. They have a full gluten free menu and are part of a dining out program put on by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness. It's one of the best places in San Diego for GF!
