I ordered the Maine Lobster roll with coleslaw and it was delicious! Bun was fluffy and didn’t fall apart. I also have a flaxseed allergy and the sever checked that the bun was safe. They have good CC procedures and a wide variety of options!!

Fantastic restaurant. Huge GF menu, and it’s a separate printed menu. Food is delicious and server was very helpful and told us what wouldn’t be safe for Celiacs in particular (basically anything fried, or the flatbread). He even checked with the bartender for drinks. Very large and busy restaurant so was a bit weary at first but after speaking with the waitress and staff, they take extra precautions for GF. The mark it multiple times for the line cooks to be aware of the GF. PLEASE GET THE LOBSTER ROLL. Do not leave there without getting that because it’s the best one you’ll ever have!! I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. My bf has the grouper and he loved it too. Their drinks are soooo good and their selection of rums are outstanding.

Awful food and service. Don’t waste your money. Burnt the kids meals. Cold food. The food was very bland. Charged a automatic gratuity on 5 adults and also charged it on the meal that I had to send back.

Separate and extensive gluten free menu! Our server was great. I ordered fish tacos and she reassured me that she would make sure the fish was baked and not fried. Our waitress was really sweet and let me know that some of the items on the GF menu are actually not celiac safe due to shared friers, pans etc. but she went through what WAS safe and double checked with the cook to be sure. I was not impressed. Server said he would have to fry chips fresh because they were out of them, but they came out cold and stale, so we ate our bean dip as if it was soup. The fish tacos were dry and had more red cabbage than fish. It’s really the only place I regret going while on vacation.

Doc Fords has a separate Gluten Free menu with lots of options I had the mango salmon with au gratin potatoes -all GF! They also had GF flatbread and the waitress warned me it would be heated in the same toaster as gluten breads. So the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

The outdoor setting in the peer and the GF options make this a dining experience not to miss.

On our recent trip to the area we visited Doc Ford’s twice. Each time the service and knowledge from servers was exceptional! For me having GF bread before my meal is always a plus. They help through the menu and are very aware of what is safe. The Yucatán Shrimp is one of the best things we have ever eaten. Then you can sop up the limey garlicky sauce with your GF Bread.

Great meal in a pretty setting. Our waiter, Kris, was responsive, knowledgeable and fun. Really happy that one of our group, who is Celiac, had a lot of great options including tacos, burgers, flat bread, sandwiches, etc. The restaurant has a designated Gluten Free menu and a dedicated gluten free fryer (yummy fries). Touristy setting (but not overwhelmingly so) which is fine because we are tourists and this location was perfect. No complaints at all. Overall Good experience. We would return.

I had an amazing experience here! Wonderful gluten free menu, I got the ceviche and the grilled grouper. The food was delicious. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about gluten and I felt very comfortable eating here. They also were able to tell me which drinks were gluten free with no problem. This restaurant had a nice GF menu and our waiter was knowledgeable about celiac disease and other allergies. We sat outside and had a nice view of the water. I had the flat bread, which was amazing!! My daughter had a salad with grilled chicken. She is 14 and said it was one of the best salads she has had. My dinner here was one of the best experiences I’ve had dining at a restaurant with celiac disease. This restaurant has a dedicated gluten free menu, you just have to ask your server for it. It’s even printed on the same thick restaurant menu stationary not printed off a computer paper like it was a chore. This restaurant takes all allergies very seriously. My waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the ingredients in every single menu item. He even double checked with the chef about what I ordered to ensure zero cross contamination. Lots of choices and I didn’t get sick!!

This is by far the best gluten free restaurant I have been to. They really went above and beyond to explain what was gluten free and how it was prepared. The food was also fantastic! My daughter and I split the yucatan shrimp and lobster roll. My husband had the steak sandwich and tostados. Everything tasted great. We will def be visiting again when we are in the area.

They have an extensive GF menu from flatbreads to tostados! Not your usual, 4 salads and a couple of chicken dishes and a couple of meat dishes. I was shocked to the point that I couldn’t decide what to order!😄 we were lucky to have an incredibly knowledgeable server who pointed out a mistake in the menu knew where there was some cross contamination.
