My husband (celiac) and I ate here three times while we vacationed at South Seas.

2/3 waiters seemed to be more informed on it. Our first was very cautious and said “I’m making a big alert here on my order that this is GF for an allergy.”

They have an expansive menu - the roasted chicken over potato hash was amazing.

They don’t have a dedicated fryer but they empty out and clean the oil tank every night and make the tortilla chips in the AM before anything else.

Great service. Understood gf and a huge gf menu. Food was excellent and felt fine afterwards. Not celiac but very sensitive to cc with a wheat allergy.

I had the Yucatán shrimp (no bread) and a GF flat bread. The sever assured me the flat bread was baked in a tray. It was just ok. Good atmosphere and lots of good drinks.

Went twice while on vacation, great experiences, food was delicious. We have multiple allergies in our group including celiac and shellfish and they did awesome with both. Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help and assist. I would recommend for allergies.

Do not go to this location. Doc Fords was once my favorite restaurant. A few years ago, a server recommended I try their Sanibel Cheese Steak with the GF flatbread. It was delicious. My family only travels to this area once per year and it is always exciting to go to Doc Fords. Today upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess followed by an unfriendly waitress. She was very uninterested in any kind of conversation. I asked her, “How’s the shrimp ceviche?” And she replied, “I don’t know. I wouldn’t order it. I don’t like seafood.” Wow. I ordered the GF Sanibel Cheese Steak with flatbread and she rolled her eyes and goes, “I’ll have to make sure it won’t confuse the kitchen.” Seriously? We were the only people there. It was 11:30am. The manager finally came out and said, “We will make this accommodation once, but during dinner hours, this would really confuse the kitchen.” Really? Confuse the kitchen... for one substitute that a member of YOUR staff recommended years ago? There are only two types of GF bread. What does it matter if I suggest flatbread instead of a bun? The whole experience was awful. I will only go to the Ft Myers Beach location. This one is terrible. We left without ordering food. I plan on emailing the owners to inform them about the incompetent staff they chose to hire.

Great food and service. I went twice for lunch, had the jerk chicken tostadas as an app and the shrimp tacos one day and fish tacos the next. Side dish of fruit was delicious. Would recommend. Staff is knowledgeable with celiac.

GF menu - the flatbread was great. Servers well-versed in food allergies. Highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable- asked if it was allergy or preference. has GF menu which is most of the menu. Had tostado, spinach/artichoke flatbread, tropical salad w blackened chicken which does not have the crisps onions. Mine came out w them and the manager rushed over to apologize. Overall great food. Also mojitos are yummy!

Extensive gluten free menu. We tested the grilled chicken sandwich on gf bun, 1/2 roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables with Nima Sensor. Result indicated our order was gluten free. Everything was delicious.

They have a Gluten Free Menu, many dishes are the same from the regulare menu, that simply needs to be ordered GF. Burgers come with no bun, no dedicated fryer. They seems to be informed about celiac and cross contamination but we didn't risk it and had a cheeseburger no bin and we were fine.

Lots of GF options. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Depth of flavor, thoughtful combinations. Everything was very tasty. Taquitoes(non-GF) were big and very tasty. GF Jerk chicken tostadas and shrimp tacos were good. Tacos Overflowed with shrimp. Non-GF fried Shrimp were huge and very good. We didn’t try the GF margarita flatbread, but non-GF was very good as well

They have an extensive GF menu from flatbreads to tostados! Not your usual, 4 salads and a couple of chicken dishes and a couple of meat dishes. I was shocked to the point that I couldn’t decide what to order!😄 we were lucky to have an incredibly knowledgeable server who pointed out a mistake in the menu knew where there was some cross contamination. Natalie is a gem!

I ordered the Maine Lobster roll with coleslaw and it was delicious! Bun was fluffy and didn’t fall apart. I also have a flaxseed allergy and the sever checked that the bun was safe. They have good CC procedures and a wide variety of options!!
