They had ciders for beer alternatives. Substituted corn tortillas for the flour ones, the chef even cleaned off a special section of the grill for my tortillas. The staff checked on multiple things for me and made every effort to accommodate me having to eat GF.

I am celiac and was able to eat here safely but had to be careful. Most of the meats are GF and the server was able to tell us what we could and could not eat. I believe most if not all of the BBQ sauces were GF (ask your server to be sure). If you stick to meat and veggies you should be fine. No dedicated fryer. Food was phenomenal.

the menu and restaurant should not actively try to identify themselves as gluten-free friendly. It is not safe for celiacs, shared fryers for the gluten-free marked dishes, shared kitchen space for the cutting of meat and bread, and staff aren’t familiar with the gluten free requirements.

While the food at Dr. BBQ is fantastic, all of their sides are fried in the same fryer as non-GF items. When placing an order I requested that they inform the kitchen it was an allergy and they did not. The order had white bread as well as potatoes fried in the same fryer is non-GF French fries in the same box as the meat (despite being assured it was GF). Upon realizing this the take-out staff said that they “can’t guarantee anything is gluten-free.” I have eaten there three times before and was assured quite the opposite. Highly disappointed given it is an allergy and not a preference.

I got the wings and the pineapple. I did not get sick . THE WINGS & PINEAPPLE WERE AMAZING! HOWEVER, They cannot guarantee celiac safe, but "do their best.". Note, they did put bread on the side of my husband's GF meal. My MIL asked for corn tortillas and they accidentally put flour, so be very specific & check your meal. They basically said if you stay with the meat and sauce you should be safe. They had other items marked GF, but be alert
We visited Dr BBQ for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the number of safe options. There are a couple items marked GF that might not be Celiac safe because they use Korean BBQ sauce. We didn't ask but definitely check for soy sauce before eating those! All the meats are smoked with nothing gluten in the smoker, they have corn tortillas for their tacos, a macaroni and cheese made with hominy instead of pasta, all their BBQ sauces are made in house with no gluten, even their wings are GF! Our dinner was delicious and we will definitely be back!
