Food and atmosphere was wonderful. Both the server and the guy bringing out our app (the elote of course!) told me the chips are fried in same fryer as the fried fish tacos and they noted allergy on our order. I did have 3 chips kind of as a test bc I also took a gluten ease pill and wanted to test it out. I was fine, but I wouldn’t really feel safe eating a bunch of chips. But the brisket enchiladas we split were delicious and gf. Will go back and order the bison mole next time - it looked amazing! Will definitely go back next time I’m in Sedona!

Our server, Eric, was very knowledgeable and mindful. The menu is not marked but he could tell me which entrees could be modified and how. Most could. Chips are not safe but the famed elote is, and it was delicious! They serve it with warm corn tortillas instead of their fried tostadas for gf. I had the brisket enchiladas and my boyfriend had the pork cheeks in mole. Both were delicious! For dessert, gf options included flan and ice cream. Great service. Great food.

Fantastic dinner spot! The chips are cc in the fryer but they’re very aware of gluten free items. I had Elote, the Caesar salad (sans Oaxaca crouton) and the brisket enchiladas. It was delicious!
They have a ton of GF options

Best food in Sedona - the corn chips are not safe, but the team did a great job modifying dishes to be celiac safe and most of the menu is naturally gluten free.
Highlights were the lime crème brûlée (tasted like key lime pie), lamb adobo, chicken enchiladas and, of course, the elote.

I came to Elote with my Nima device and had the halibut main course and the Elote signature appetizer dish. Both tested gluten-free, and it was amazing! Our server Eric was very knowledgeable. He specifically explained how serious they take cross contamination issues. It was a great experience.

I’m very used to food truck style Mexican so this was very different for me. The staff was fairly knowledgeable about what was and wasn’t gluten free. The chips and Elote were amazing, and I got the brisket enchiladas which were also pretty good and very filling. If you’re a very sensitive celiac I would tell you to pass since they were not super clear about gf things on the menu and were more generalized but if you call ahead and ask more in depth questions I’m more confident they would have the answers.

I ordered the queso, elote, and tamal. The queso came out first and I was unable to finish the tamal and elote because I was glutened. It was the chips, salsa or queso. Probably the queso. Everything tasted delicious. My waiter wasn’t very helpful or attentive. He was spread pretty thin. #toiletismybestfriend

The food is excellent. Almost the entire menu is able to be made gluten free. Server informed me that nothing is fried in the fryer that contains gluten anymore (since previously they had a beer battered fish), so their chips are gluten free. We loved the Elote corn, queso, and scallops.

Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and told me which items could be made gluten free, but most of the menu was safe. Chips were gluten free. Had the best brisket enchiladas EVER! Would go back here often if I lived here

Very excellent food and service. My waiter, Dillon, was exceptional! He knew that almost the entire menu is gluten free or could easily be made gluten free. I also have dairy and other food sensitivities and he was very knowledgeable about what was also dairy free etc. He informed me the chips were a cross contamination risk since they do not have a dedicated gf fryer. He caught me reaching for a chip anyways and told me he would bring me out some warm corn tortillas to munch on because he didn’t want to see me get sick from anything. Dillon deserves a raise for sure! Very attentive and genuinely cared about my well being and dining experience! Totally recommend this restaurant to anyone. Make sure to make reservations as this is a local favorite and gets packed quickly! I didn’t feel sick at all after eating here and I get sick easily from gluten!

Hands down the most amazing food in Sedona! Good luck getting in.
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable about what dishes are gluten free and cross-contamination. I was disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy the tortilla chips because they were fried in a shared fryer, so I ordered an gluten free tamal just for me. :) The food was amazing, it was well worth the wait.
Yes
I definitely would not call this place authentic Mexican. It’s kind of a high-end Mexican fusion for white people. Has some cool dishes like corn chowder with white truffles or pork cheeks. However, I did have reaction. It wasn’t a horrible reaction but with all the gluten free options in town I don’t know if it’s worth the 1-2hr wait.
Excellent popular restaurant, very authentic gourmet Mexican. I had the duck carnitas which the waiter assured me was gluten free. Most of the menu looked gluten free.
