I tell them I have a gluten allergy and the cashier lets everyone else know. They change their gloves, can make the burger into a lettuce wrap or a bowl, and this is one of the few places where I can have the fries (nothing else fried in the fryers).
Yes
We have eaten here numerous times and am always so appreciative of how they change their gloves, bring things out separately, all of it.

can't go wrong here. Love their fries.
Yes
Everyone who prepared our order changed their gloves. Ordered our burgers wrapped in lettuce. Came thoughtfully wrapped in lettuce. Full of toppings. Bacon was crispy. Everything was great!
Nice waitstaff who will change gloves and put your bunless burger in a bowl with toppings on it. Never gotten sick here. Love their gf fries too!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
