We had the chicken with gluten free Mac and cheese and fruit and the gluten free enchilada. They were both delicious, although the Mac and cheese could use some spices. The staff was friendly and educated about gluten cross contamination.

Food is great, many GF options on menu including all entrees (GF upon request) and most bowls, Mac & Cheese and muffins. I’ve done carry out lunch a couple of times enjoyed it a lot and experienced no problems.

First time I ordered here, the food came out with an allergy sticker attached which was appreciated. This last time, I shared the steak, mashed potatoes, GF Mac and cheese, and chopped salad. I ordered delivery, and although I specified gluten allergy -celiac, no sticker was placed, and I felt sick within 10 minutes.

So glad that this downtown location exists! Lots of gluten-free options, including vegetarian and vegan. Make sure to tell your server about your allergies so they take the right precautions. Have eaten here several times without any issues.

Many gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The menu at the counter is labeled and staff is extremely knowledgeable. I ordered the gluten free Forbidden Rice Bowl with steak. No issues with cross-contamination either. Flower Child also has gluten free dessert. Delicious food!!

Easy to figure out what was safe to eat from the menu. The gf Mac and cheese was good. Pretty small portion though.

The food was great and the gluten free was clearly labeled and the steak and Mac and cheese was really good. The Mac and cheese was some of the best if not the best I’ve had (it is gluten free)

Delicious clean food! Highly recommend

An oasis for those gf. We had wraps which had extra salad that accompanied the meal. Also, we sampled mac and chase and mashed potatoes- allllllll so yummy! After trying other restaurants with “gf” meals and being sick several days in a row, what a relief to enjoy the Flower Child.

Very knowledgeable staff, all items clearly marked on menu as GF/Vegan/Vegetarian. They add allergies to orders. 80% of the menu is safe. Delicious GF/DF soups, salads, entrees, wraps (in GF pita), muffins, brownies, pudding.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

I ate lunch here this past weekend and had a wonderful experience! I’m highly symptomatic and was just fine after eating here. There is potential for cross contamination, but all the staff seemed very well informed and knew exactly what to do. I feel that this is one of the safest restaurants for me in Houston.

So many gluten free options and great for kids!! My daughter (celiac) never gets sick when we eat here and my sons who are not gluten free say the gf mac and cheese is the best here! I personally love the forbidden rice bowl. They change their gloves for my daughter even though everything we order is gf!
