For a health food store I expected better options and safety measures. Asked for my options and got a burger with a gf bun. Burger bun was definitely toasted in the same area as the regular buns.

Great food. They also catered my wedding and did all gluten free. Just wish they had the items marked on the menu. I just get the same couple things over and over. Ruben is very good!

I like Gateway Markey, and consider this just a review of the prepared food in the cafe area. I've been in twice now to get the Cilantro Lime Chicken salad. Both times I've asked for the salad to be made without the fried wonton strips, the second time making more of a point about it, and both times it's come out with the wonton strips. I had the same cashier both times, so maybe it's just them, but it's turned me off on the place.

Shopped and eaten here before, as an out of towner looking for natural foods. My son was just diagnosed with CD. Called thinking they might have a GF menu. They forgot to put me on hold as the person who answered checked with management. Heard a long and a bit aggressive instruction to the person who was helping me. "You need to just shoot from the hip... I want you to to turn around and just look at the menu board and go down the list and tell her what we can substitute. Like bread and stuff." The person came back on the phone and did that, but when I asked if there were pastries (it was a test) he just was kind of dumbstruck, I assumed he didn't want to ask again and get yelled at. I said "thanks". It was clear there wasn't top down instruction. With the grocery store attached, I think a smart person could make it work, with clear instructions to their staff. But they certainly aren't prepared or trained. Three stars because you can purchase GF foods in the aisle.

Very tasty fish tacos and steak tacos. Would certainly eat there again. One complaint though...the cashiers don't seem too concerned to mark the order as being gluten free even though their menu clearly states to bring it up if you have a 'food allergy.' Nonetheless, I have not had an issue yet.
