Yeah! gluten-free cupcakes finally arrived in Mobile, AL. I spoke with the person behind the counter about my concerns with possible cross-contamination issues. She reassured me that while there are gluten-containing products they bake in their store, they do take every precaution to avoid any cross-contamination with these items. She explained that they use clean utensils and bakeware when preparing gluten free items. She also said that the gluten free cupcakes are prepared first thing in the morning before they bake their regular, gluten-containing ones. Additionally, they put the gluten free cupcakes on their own separate trays and even in a separate display case. She confirmed that they have regular celiac patrons and haven't had any complaints so far. All of which I liked hearing.

The gluten free cupcakes are only on Fridays and sell out quick. They try to have two-three varieties from which to choose. I had the chocolate torte. It was delicious and rich.

If you need gluten-free cupcakes other than Friday, then you'll need to call a day in advance. There is a 6 cupcake minimum for a special order.

My boyfriend recently treated me to a raspberry chocolate cupcake here, and it was YUMMY! a nice little indulgence once in a while, and I didn't get sick. Can't wait to go again!

I asked for the gluten free torte and was given what looked like a cupcake with chocolate frosting.

Was told by the young cashier that they are very careful to make sure it is gluten free. I took it home to eat... it didn't taste home made. It had that chemical preservative after taste. A couple hours later and I was sick, sick, sick. 😖
