Told there is no gluten free fryer... No sure what the deal is. The Walnut Creek, Ferry building and Napa location all have GF fryer.

The person checking me out first told me that they could not accommodate a gluten free fryer but when I pushed back the manager came and they told me they could accommodate.
I was a little nervous but the fries did take a little while and I did not get sick so trust they did make them separately

I’m not sure what the deal is but…this location won’t do a GF fryer?? And look, if you order online they say they offer it but they don’t. Buyer beware. It sucks enough that Napa will do it and not St Helena but then to also allow you to request it on take out? Just disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Napa location. They handle allergies very well there.

Asked about if they have a gluten-free fryer currently, and if the milkshakes are cross-contaminated. NO GF fryer, and milkshakes are made in the same machines that Oreo ones are made in. So fries and milkshakes are out. I was told, however, that the burger I wanted (California Burger) would be fine. I ordered the burger on a gluten-free bun and specified gluten allergy at the register. This was confirmed on the receipt, and with a sticker on the wrapper of the bun.
Unfortunately, after testing small bits of each part of the burger, it tested positive in my Nima sensor. There may be some things that are safe here (such as some of the salads or soft serve ice cream), but overall, it’s not really a good place to be for a Celiac in my opinion. Personally, I think the staff must not know about cross-contamination, as it appeared the bun may have been put on the griddle, but I don’t know for sure.

We’ve eaten at a number of their locations and the food is always consistent. Never gotten sick (gluten intolerant/not celiac). I usually go for a lettuce-wrapped hamburger + fries. They have lots of salads and tacos with corn tortillas that sound like good options. Haven’t tried their GF bread yet, but they do offer this option as well.

Great burger and fries! I am celiac and they did a great job. Separate fryer for gf fries. They left off the sauce because they said it contained gluten. I had no issues.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. I cannot say anything good about this place, please don’t waste your money here. They lie about having a fryer, employees have secretly told me that I should not eat anything here. They constantly say their gf fryer is broken, but only so it looks like they might have a working fryer at some point, but they don’t. Ordered once again last week, FLAGGED my burger as an allergy (normally they’d put it in a separate box so my burger doesn’t touch family members gluten food) but they were so careless they purposely put my burger halfway on the onion rings. Couldn’t eat it, normally my burger comes in a separate box. Never happy here, please DO NOT GO.

NO GLUTEN FREE FRYER - nothing fried is gluten free right now per their information. Burgers were good. Do not get anything fried at this location because they said they are not gluten free right now. No fries or Brussels sprouts :(

So good! My family always goes to this location when we drive by on a vacation. I recommend the Texas Avocado burger. Ask for the gluten free bun. This is the best gluten free burger restaurant that I have found 😋

Dedicated gluten free fryer, gluten free buns, the girl at the window was very knowledgeable about cross contamination! Great spot!

One of the best gluten-free burgers I’ve ever had. They had to remove the secret sauce, but I just doubled up on my favorite toppings. The gluten-free bun was very good!

Staff was very familiar with which items are gluten free, and they have gluten free hamburger buns. They also have a separate gluten free fryer, but it wasn't working today.
The staff was amazing! They were professional and kind. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and my meal was served separately from my friends' meals with a gluten free sticker on it. When I had questions, the staff member who took my order had the recipe in front of her and she checked the ingredients for me. The Texas Burger and garlic fries were fabulous!

Amazing service! Dog friendly! Superb food! And a vanilla/chocolate shake to top it all off! I was in heaven! The bun was sooo good! I was traveling through and it was quick to stop and keep going.

Amazing gluten free buns! Loved all the burger options.
Check to make sure gf dryer is working before ordering fries. Gf bun was the BEST gf bun I've ever had. Amazing food. Careful, the ranch has bleu cheese.

I'll update my review a few hours after I eat. When we ordered they said the safest thing to order is the burger. They tell the line it's a gluten allergy so they are extra careful and clean it down. They have gluten free buns. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, had to switch out the cheese because American cheese has gluten in it but the Swiss cheese is gluten free, also no secret sauce as it also has gluten. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries and the ketchup is sir Kensington's which is certified gluten free.
Great bacon cheeseburger (no special sauce). But they warned me that at 5pm they can't guarantee that something hasn't contaminated their "dedicated" dryer. Appreciated the honesty but was a disappointment!!
Great burgers and fries and plenty of outdoor seating. Parking is always tight though.

When I asked for the gluten free bun the cashier asked if it was an allergy- when I said yes she let me know it would be without sauce as well bc it contains gluten.
After reading some past reviews I requested my bun not be toasted just to be extra cautious if cross-contamination.
I was actually pretty impressed with the bun. Better than most GF buns I’ve had in the past.
Make sure to have them note the gluten allergy on the fries as well. Mine came out on my partner‘s tray and when he asked why, they said the fries didn’t have GF noted so they went and got new fries for me from the dedicated fryer.
Overall good experience!

Great experience here a few days ago! My Celiac husband had the bacon cheeseburger (without the special sauce which isn’t GF) and my daughter had the California burger - both on a GF bun which they said was delicious! Need to tell them that it’s an allergy so they will prepare it separately. The sweet potato fries which we confirmed were fried in a separate fryer were tasty! The best part of the meal were milkshakes which are made of our favorite Strauss Family Creamery ice cream and milk and were all GF! The Strauss soft serves (without toppings) in a cup were amazing too!

I like this place with a few reservations. The good: I always feel safe eating here and have never gotten sick. Theres a dedicated fryer you I can have French fries, which is awesome! I haven’t yet had a shake, but no cookies and cream ice cream on the menu, so theoretically I could if I wanted to. The meh: The food always come a little cold, which isn’t great for a burger. Also the portions as SO SMALL for the cost. It’s a fine meal before a women’s basketball game at Stanford, but not worth making a special trip for.

Got extremely glutened here, despite an extensive conversation with the knowledgeable cashier about their precautions. I ordered:
- sweet potato fries
- cheeseburger with gf bun, no sauce
- mint chip shake
Burger came out marked as gf, was told they have completely separate areas and dedicated friers, plus order was tagged gf.
And was sick within 4 hours. Clearly some serious cross contamination occurring. Avoid.
