Great burgers and fries and plenty of outdoor seating. Parking is always tight though.

Great experience here a few days ago! My Celiac husband had the bacon cheeseburger (without the special sauce which isn’t GF) and my daughter had the California burger - both on a GF bun which they said was delicious! Need to tell them that it’s an allergy so they will prepare it separately. The sweet potato fries which we confirmed were fried in a separate fryer were tasty! The best part of the meal were milkshakes which are made of our favorite Strauss Family Creamery ice cream and milk and were all GF! The Strauss soft serves (without toppings) in a cup were amazing too!

I like this place with a few reservations. The good: I always feel safe eating here and have never gotten sick. Theres a dedicated fryer you I can have French fries, which is awesome! I haven’t yet had a shake, but no cookies and cream ice cream on the menu, so theoretically I could if I wanted to. The meh: The food always come a little cold, which isn’t great for a burger. Also the portions as SO SMALL for the cost. It’s a fine meal before a women’s basketball game at Stanford, but not worth making a special trip for.

Love their burgers and fries! They clearly mark gf items and offer gf fries and buns. They told me that the impossible burger option is not gf because they cook the impossible burgers in an area of the grill that gets cross contaminated. But their regular beef and turkey burgers are safe! Super tasty, and I appreciate their honesty and clarity in answering my questions.

I went to order and said I have celiac disease and right away he said no gluten and knew how to modify my burger. They have a dedicated fryer for French fries. Gluten free bun was good.

Celiac friendly hamburger restaurant at Town & Village Palo-Alto. We has cheeseburgers with GF buns and fries. Our order was well labeled and the staff was knowledgeable. No reaction afterwards. We’ll be back and we recommend.

Always a good experience here. When ordering the gluten free bun the ask about allergy. Being able to have fries makes this a go to spot

Nice ordering system for online orders makes it easy to flag a gluten allergy for both a burger order (and select a GF bun) and also for a fry order. My order came in its own box with the burger having a GF label on it (yay), whereas the other items (gluten, non-allergy) in our same order were in shared containers. Even though we ordered online, everything was great. No cross contamination issues.
Food was good, too!

This is my go-to burger and fries place. They are very knowledgeable and always mark gluten allergy on the order. When I came the first time, the cashier told me the bbq sauce was unsafe on a specialty burger without me having to ask. They have a separate fryer for fries only and say that they clean the kitchen area for GF orders. I eat here pretty regularly and have never had a reaction. When we order take out, they usually separate my order from the other orders. That being said, there have been times when I got too comfortable and didn’t remind them that they packaged my order next to a regular burger, or put the bbq sauce on my burger despite it being labeled gf. In these times, they were very happy to remake my food and apologetic and I will say they occur infrequently but they do happen. The food is very good and I still feel safer eater here than most places if I’m going to eat out

I am very sorry to be the first person to post a negative review here. I went in a week ago and I am still dealing with the resulting sickness. When I placed my order, I could see all the buns laying on the grill. I noted that I was a Celiac and that I couldn't have any cross contamination. The cashier immediately seemed very knowledgeable, and we discussed all their safe-food handling processes. He explained that the GF buns occupied a different surface than regular buns, and that the fryer was only used for GF items and was cleaned regularly. He told me that if there was a [noticed] cross-contamination event with the fryer, everyone was notified, and they would try to prevent people with gluten allergies from ordering fried items. So I ordered a burger & fries. The receipt clearly stated "Gluten allergy" on it. When my order was ready, the person who gave me my food reassured me by stating that he personally watched the food prep and they did all they could to avoid contamination. I specifically asked if the bun was GF, and he said yes. I believe him since it looked different than my friend's "regular" bun.
The food was great. But, sure enough, shortly after I finished, all the usual symptoms came on.
So I'm sorry to ruin a good thing, but despite what seemed like good precautions and care, this place made me quite ill, so it isn't safe for Celiacs.

They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and were able to serve me delicious sweet potato fries and fried Brussels sprouts! Not really enough options for a full gluten free meal but they can certainly offer some wonderful treats!!
Yes
They have a dedicated frier! I just had fries, so I can't speak to burgers, but they were delicious, crispy, and didn't make me sick!
Spoke to a very knowledgeable manager who informed me that the kitchen space is cleaned for a GF order. I have celiac and ate there without any reaction. It was a treat to have the fries and the fried brussel sprouts!

Told there is no gluten free fryer... No sure what the deal is. The Walnut Creek, Ferry building and Napa location all have GF fryer.

When I asked for the gluten free bun the cashier asked if it was an allergy- when I said yes she let me know it would be without sauce as well bc it contains gluten.
After reading some past reviews I requested my bun not be toasted just to be extra cautious if cross-contamination.
I was actually pretty impressed with the bun. Better than most GF buns I’ve had in the past.
Make sure to have them note the gluten allergy on the fries as well. Mine came out on my partner‘s tray and when he asked why, they said the fries didn’t have GF noted so they went and got new fries for me from the dedicated fryer.
Overall good experience!

The person checking me out first told me that they could not accommodate a gluten free fryer but when I pushed back the manager came and they told me they could accommodate.
I was a little nervous but the fries did take a little while and I did not get sick so trust they did make them separately

Got extremely glutened here, despite an extensive conversation with the knowledgeable cashier about their precautions. I ordered:
- sweet potato fries
- cheeseburger with gf bun, no sauce
- mint chip shake
Burger came out marked as gf, was told they have completely separate areas and dedicated friers, plus order was tagged gf.
And was sick within 4 hours. Clearly some serious cross contamination occurring. Avoid.
