When I asked for the gluten free bun the cashier asked if it was an allergy- when I said yes she let me know it would be without sauce as well bc it contains gluten.
After reading some past reviews I requested my bun not be toasted just to be extra cautious if cross-contamination.
I was actually pretty impressed with the bun. Better than most GF buns I’ve had in the past.
Make sure to have them note the gluten allergy on the fries as well. Mine came out on my partner‘s tray and when he asked why, they said the fries didn’t have GF noted so they went and got new fries for me from the dedicated fryer.
Overall good experience!

Got a burger with a gluten free bun, sweet potato fries, and a chocolate shake. They asked me if gluten free was a preference or allergy, which it’s a sensitivity and preference for me. The food was delicious!

Great burger with the gluten-free bun. They have a dedicated fryer for the French fries. I told them I was Celiac, and they marked the tray and packaging as allergy and took extra precautions. Wonderful experience and yummy food! Will definitely be back.

When I ordered and asked for a gluten free bun, the employee asked if this was preference or allergy/health concern. I let her know I was Celiac and she flagged the order which I appreciated. I asked about the fries and she confirmed they can be made in a separate fryer so they were safe too. My meal came out on its own tray, separate from the rest of my party’s food. I felt very cared for, the food was great and I had zero reaction. Highly recommend!

Our experience was fabulous here. They have a Dedicated Fryer! Gluten Free buns are a $1.00 up charge, which is lower than most places. They indicated on our receipt that we had a gluten allergy. Really tasty and easy meal.

Guys, taking down my review won’t make you gluten free. Lol!
These guys, with the aid of their manager, lied to my face and said the mushroom soup was gluten free. My Nima Sensor told me it was very full of
gluten, too.

Update June 2021:
We still come here, almost weekly, to eat without a problem. My daughter (has celiac) loves the GF bun with her hamburger and gets the garlic fries. My husband (has celiac) gets a lettuce wrap burger and the garlic fries. They have never had a problem. This is one of our go to spots when we eat out.
4 years ago: My husband and I ate here. He has Celiac. We recently purchased a Nima gluten tester and used it. The french fries, garlic fries and cheese burger protein style all tested Gluten free! We will be coming back in the future.

These cheeseburgers are to die for! I always pay the extra $1 to get the gluten free bun on the Texas Avocado burger. Watch out for the BBQ and secret sauce on some burgers, those are not gf.
I have once had them package my burger in the same box with the other gluten burger that my dad orders 😝 But only once and I must have been here 15+ times now.

Dedicated fryer was broken and burger only ok.

Green chili burger on delicious GF bun and fries!

Staff understands and will mark ticket as allergy for those of us with Celiac (yes, I know it’s not an allergy.) Gluten free burger bun and lettuce wraps available. Fries are cooked in dedicated fryer so FINALLY we can eat French fries! Highly recommend.

Great burger with a delicious gf bun or lettuce wrap. Enjoyed immensely!
Staff are very aware here. Gluten free buns and fries. A favorite for us!
They have a gluten free menu. Staff is understanding and accommodating. Dedicated frier. Delicious food!

Great food. They have a dedicated fryer and delicious gluten free buns. They mark your food as a gluten allergy when you order. I'm a celiac and eat here quite often and have never had any issues. Recommend!!
Front register staff are very knowledgeable about what is GF. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff does not know how to prepare GF food safely. I caught the woman cooking my bun on top of crumbs from previous gluten containing buns. I went to the counter and asked if someone could prepare my buns without cross contamination. I was told they were already doing that..obviously not the case! Anyways, I still got sick after them re-doing the buns. I would not recommend this place!!

The staff was very knowledgeable. As soon as I requested a gluten free bun the lady at the cash register asked if it was an allergy or preference. When I said it’s an allergy, she advised me to remove the sauce and sub with a different kind because it contained gluten. Also made sure my fries were made in their “gluten free” fryer. No issues here and loved my meal!
Yes
Dedicated fryer, gluten free-bun. Computer system coded to let server know what is GF or can be altered to be GF.
Yes
I spoke with the manager here and felt very confident about their procedures in handling gluten/allergens. They assured me they have a dedicated fryer and a staff member to watch over the allergy orders. However, at our first visit, my highly sensitive daughter with celiac had a cheeseburger with a GF bun and French fries and ended up throwing up within the hour. Something must have been contaminated. Sad because I had a lot of confidence in them!

My husband is celiac and he ordered the GF bacon cheeseburger. The fries are made in a separate fryer. He tested them with the Gluten tester Nima and came back gluten free. It's such a joy to find places like this!
Gotts is a great option for celiacs. Delicious burgers offered via lettuce wrap or gluten free bun (extra charge). French fries are done in a separate fryer so they are safe. The food is delicious and the staff was knowledgeable! Fun atmosphere!
Yes
I shared the green chile burger and fries with my husband and it was very good. I don't know if it's celiac friendly, but I felt very comfortable eating there and the kitchen is viewable by the public.
Great burgers and fries and plenty of outdoor seating. Parking is always tight though.

The person checking me out first told me that they could not accommodate a gluten free fryer but when I pushed back the manager came and they told me they could accommodate.
I was a little nervous but the fries did take a little while and I did not get sick so trust they did make them separately

Great experience here a few days ago! My Celiac husband had the bacon cheeseburger (without the special sauce which isn’t GF) and my daughter had the California burger - both on a GF bun which they said was delicious! Need to tell them that it’s an allergy so they will prepare it separately. The sweet potato fries which we confirmed were fried in a separate fryer were tasty! The best part of the meal were milkshakes which are made of our favorite Strauss Family Creamery ice cream and milk and were all GF! The Strauss soft serves (without toppings) in a cup were amazing too!

I like this place with a few reservations. The good: I always feel safe eating here and have never gotten sick. Theres a dedicated fryer you I can have French fries, which is awesome! I haven’t yet had a shake, but no cookies and cream ice cream on the menu, so theoretically I could if I wanted to. The meh: The food always come a little cold, which isn’t great for a burger. Also the portions as SO SMALL for the cost. It’s a fine meal before a women’s basketball game at Stanford, but not worth making a special trip for.

Got extremely glutened here, despite an extensive conversation with the knowledgeable cashier about their precautions. I ordered:
- sweet potato fries
- cheeseburger with gf bun, no sauce
- mint chip shake
Burger came out marked as gf, was told they have completely separate areas and dedicated friers, plus order was tagged gf.
And was sick within 4 hours. Clearly some serious cross contamination occurring. Avoid.
