Food was fine but wish we had experienced better customer service. Due to a technical glitch in their online ordering system, we received a REGULAR kids pasta as part of our delivery order, not gluten free like we had ordered (and paid an upcharge for). My young celiac daughter was so upset. The restaurant offered a refund over the phone, however after multiple attempts to follow up with them, they have been unresponsive with no refund coming through. Super disappointing, especially because we really wanted to like this place. The whole situation makes us nervous to order their gluten free food again.

We had the pleasure of visiting Grandma’s Grotto today. The owner is a humble man who started offering GF because his son’s mother-in-law has Celiac. He calls it a labor of love. The whole bakery section is GF and I could have tried one of everything. We got a cannoli, an eclair and some cookies, all of which were delicious. They also can make most of the menu GF. I had a cheesesteak which was so good. They make their own hoagie rolls and they are delicious. My kids ate regular cheesesteaks and loved them as well. In addition they had Italian specialities like Eggplant and Chicken Parm. They have pizza and other hoagies including a GF meatball sandwich. I could eat here every day:) Probably good that I don’t live nearby.

We have been customers for years, but after their recent move, the customer service has taken a nosedive. They tried to get us to pay in person after ordering and paying online. We eat here all of the time! I’m celiac and extremely sensitive to cross contamination and have never had a bad experience. Their bread is decent and fluffy, which is refreshing. Everything they offer on their menu is either gluten free or can be modified. Their baked goods are a bit dry (to be fair, italian cookies tend to be on the dryer side and I’ve never been a big fan). Every baked good they offer is gluten free. You can even buy their flour mix. I believe the only gluten items on their menu is regular pizza, hoagie rolls, and breading on various dishes. It feels like gluten free is the default here, which is majorly refreshing, especially in this area. Everything is tasty and the customer service is excellent. They’re a family owned business. This place and their gf offerings impress.

Updated review: As far as I know, I have not had ill effects from eating here; however, I will not be back. I was there the other day and super excited to get gf treats after eating. I watched my waitress grab someone else's food with bare hands (bread loaves, cookies, etc.). The other customer also asked to double check if it was all gf and the waitress said it is. The waitress then went to put gloves on for my desserts, while touching the outsides of the gloves anyway... I said I was too full and changed my mind. The owner was standing right behind her as she did this and I was surprised the other customer and the owner said nothing.

OMG!!! THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!!! My husband ordered a regular pizza (said it tasted even BETTER on the second day) and I got linguine in clam sauce. I haven't had it in YEARS and thanks to Grandma's Grotto...I had no pains. And the desserts (ALL gluten free!)? I came home with almost $10 of goodies! The best thing? The strawberries and cream cupcake. I'm still dreaming about it. Ha! We'll definitely be back soon

Very good. When you walk in they ask if anyone would like a gluten free menu. Good start. Then they bring out GF toasty bread for gf people (with ice cold butter unfortunately). I got the very tasty chicken parm and if you ask they will give you a different sauce on your pasta (so I could try something else). I tasted the GF cannoli whose shell was more of an anise cookie, but it wasn’t bad and the filling was pretty good.

I have never had a bad meal here! Pasta is always fantastic, and pizza is very good as well! Desserts are AMAZING, and so many different gluten free options. I always bring home leftovers, and I recommend to anyone with Celiac Disease!
