Had breakfast here. Ordered velvet breakfast which was sautéed seasonal vegetables with 2 eggs and choice of meat or vegan options, I chose bacon. I indicated I had a gluten “allergy” and the server knew immediately how to manage this, shared that the owner has Celiac and went through all the gluten- free options. She also asked if I needed to avoid dairy to accommodate this as well. She walked through the precautions they take and was so very helpful. It was a great meal, no issues at all, even tested with my Nima and confirmed gluten-free. They made me feel really comfortable and this is now on my go-to list of places to eat at! Thank you to the owner of Grateful Bites for doing an amazing job educating your very caring staff!! So thankful for this!

Their ‘yo yo’ is delicious. Blueberry muffin is good as well. Have only had these two items a few times with no issues
The waitress advised me which choices were gluten free and the burger with a gluten free bun was one of the choices. I was almost done- it was very tasty when the waitress came back to tell me I had accidentally been given a regular bun. The young man in the kitchen was kind enough to come out and apologize but I was very sick despite rushing home to take charcoal

Enjoyed brunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was live music. Lots to choose from - all made with fresh, local ingredients. There were also various coffees and teas available which were beautifully displayed for serving yourself. It is a bit pricey ($15 for the French Toast) but it’s a nice treat. Be sure to get something from the bakery before you leave!

Beware... though the food was good enough, the portions are tiny and the prices outrageous.
They have a separate gf area in their kitchen and I walked in unsure of what I could eat, so I asked and was surprised by a suggestion of waffles because they had the batter for it. They were amazing to say the least.

Fantastic Reuben, made gluten free! The iced tea is a lovely ginger concoction too. Thrilled!

great options! I had gf French toast and brought home some treats
What a find! I found this delightful breakfast/lunch cafe through Find Me Gluten Free and enjoyed the best sandwich I've had since I was diagnosed with celiac disease 17 years ago. The secret is that they bake their own gluten-free sandwich bread. I chose the Tuscan vegetable sandwich filling, which was delicious, but the other choices sounded equally good. The gluten-free side was a cucumber salad made with freshly picked local cucumbers, and I helped myself to their iced tea brewed with lemongrass, ginger, and cinnamon. I ended my meal with a gluten-free espresso chocolate brownie. I am strongly symptomatic when I get "glutened," and I had no symptoms at all after this meal. To fully enjoy this restaurant, you must understand that it is not a business, but a non-profit formed to provide both healthy food and jobs and job training for the differently-abled. Your service will not be fast, but it will be professional and kind. You may be greeted by a volunteer, entertained by a folksinger playing for free, and see young families with kids enjoying gluten-free treats. If your lunch costs a dollar or two more than it would at a traditional sandwich shop, you will know that you are contributing to the dignity of people who are grateful for their jobs and take gluten-free safety seriously.

My mom and I went here to get a dessert for a family party so I could have something to eat. The lady that helped us out told us the desserts that we're gluten free and we picked out the ones we wanted. We double checked with her that they were safe and she even confirmed it with the man in the back. I ended up taking one bite and getting sick that day.
The GOOD: Lovely atmosphere; good celiac protocol, lots of GF options. Desserts look beautiful.
The BAD: There is at least a half hour wait for any food (and it is not really worth that long a wait). You would be better off getting just dessert and beverage and avoiding the excessive wait.
The UGLY: Ordered a turkey panini sandwich. The menu says turn any sandwich or panini into a GF option with GF bread. Not really true. My idea of a panini is bread (olive oil on the inside & butter on the outside), cheese and some other fillings like meat and/or veggies that is pressed and grilled resulting in a warm grilled cheese like ooziness of a sandwich. Their idea is bread (dry no oil or butter) oven baked to a crouton like crunch with turkey & cranberry chutney and no cheese, even though the description says Gruyere cheese. I took one bite, looked inside and thought I got the wrong sandwich. I brought it up to the counter and I said that it was supposed to be grilled and have cheese. They said that they would fix it. The fix: a teaspoon of shredded UNMELTED cheese was put on the turkey and then the bread was dried out even more in the oven. I brought it back and at this point I was more than cranky, being really hungry and waiting almost an hour for this "panini". When I went up to the counter upset, this is when it is explained to me that they do not want to cross contaminate the GF food so they make the panini in the oven, no grilling, no dedicated panini press. Explain this to me when I order, explain it when I take it back the first time not after I am beyond patience and really hungry. Then they insist that I got what I ordered and that I pay for it. Really?
I know those machines are expensive, but get a dedicated GF cast iron frying pan and grill the panini in that. Or wrap it in parchment paper and press it in the panini press. Or buy a dedicated waffle iron to press it. No matter what, warn the customer when they order not to expect a real panini.

Menu says can make anything gluten free! They do breakfast and lunch and have many options. They also have a bakery with gf goods such as scones, brownies, and coconut macaroons. Only thing is if you order a meal it takes a while, but if you don't mind the wait, it's a great place to eat at!
very tasty food and very considerate staff. staff were knowledgeable and conscious of celiac precautions. the gluten free sour dough bread is delicious. it is volunteer operated and profits go towards helping adults with disabilities. happy to eat here!
