Luau had a gluten free plate. The fish was very plain and had no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. The potato, squash, chicken and pork was good- not spectacular but edible. The beef was chewy and hard, wasn’t a fan. Overall just ok. They gave me fruit for dessert which was good. The pineapple was honestly the best thing.

The Bibas restaurant at Hale Koa only had two gluten free items on menu, Wagu Beef Lettuce Wraps and Catch of the day. Nothing else on the menu is gluten free an let the staff did not accommodate when I asked for the red snapper without the macadamia nut crust.

The luau gave me my own gluten free plate where it looked like the only difference was that my fish was plain instead of breaded. The starters were not gluten free and they gave me fruit instead of the cake everyone else got. The other restaurants in the hotel had very limited gluten free options.

We went to the Luau at the Hale Koa hotel, my son and I had the gluten free plates. Appetizers were all gluten free, pickle ginger salad, poi, salmon ceviche with tomatoes. Main course had Kailua pork, steak, chicken, yellow squash, sweet potato, and mahi mahi. Unfortunately desert was cake which was not gluten free so we got fruit which was definitely disappointing for the price and for a child. We went to a gluten free bakery in the morning to make up for it.
