Workers are usually dedicated to making sure there isn't cross contamination with your gluten free order. They do ask if it's preference or allergy. I've yet to have a reaction after eating here.

Jersey Mike’s is basically always a safe chain. I’d never been to this one before. When I mentioned an allergy to gluten, the teenage employee looked really nervous and said they’d try but of course they couldn’t guarantee anything. He wiped down the counter fairly well but left a few big crumbs. He went and washed his hands and changed his gloves, and my sandwich was made on its own tray and wrapper, so I guess wiping the counter wasn’t 100% necessary anyway. I don’t know if the second employee washed his hands, but at least I didn’t get sick. Other locations have made my sandwich in the back with new packages of stuff—not sure if that’s standard practice or not. I always get the #13 original Italian with extra juice because gluten free bread is always dry. The sandwich was great, and I added a bag of Lay’s.

They’ve always taken precautions when preparing my food including wiping down the assembly line and using a separate cutting board and knife. I feel good about their safety measures but the bread isn’t the yummiest. Is any gluten free bread great though?

Pleasant first time with a Jersey Mike’s. They cleaned the grill for me and kept my sandwich separate. Did not have any problems, but cross-contamination risk is still high for those who are sensitive

Always love Jersey Mike’s. Been to many of their locations throughout Utah. Was grateful to find this one when traveling on I-15 and needed a quick, sage gluten free meal. Great sandwiches! Tell them you’re GF and it’s an allergy/you need them to wipe things off. Never had an issue.

$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
