Had the grilled chicken sandwich. Best GF bun I've ever tasted, my partner was worried it wasn't GF it was that good. Our waiter Chris was very knowledgable and attentive, reassured me that he will have a word with the chef as I'm celiac. Loses one star as he came out and told me there was an issue with the fries and I couldn't have them, but I'm glad he let me know!
good place for a burger or nachos. Has dedicated fryer for fries. Staff is very well trained. Loses a star for having an amazing dessert on the menu but not carried anymore. Talk to Wyndham scammers enough to get free drink ticket with 25 purchase Update: 2 out of 3 good experiences. third we got onion petal fragments all over food. Nobody knew how it happened but we got a comp meal...
I would give 0 stars if I could! I was so excited to get the GF nachos. They tasted great, but I haven't gotten this sick in YEARS. Something was way off!
meh... it was ok. overpriced but they did have a gluten free menu. but the food was just ok. $15 for a gluten free cheeseburger in paradise or chicken sandwich. i probably wont be back with all the other choices around.
I ordered a cheese burger for my daughter and the bartender was very kind asking if she was celiac or just allergic because of the side dish, he gave us all the explanation, very kind
This was my first time at Margaritaville. We came for the gluten-free menu. I was only disappointed that the brownie sundae on the gluten-free menu is no longer available--we were really looking forward to it. We got the volcano nachos to share (must be a shared item because it is HUGE). I was disappointed that there is a bit a gluten-free kids menu, I was going to ask for the Jr cheeseburger sans buns and pick apples or carrots for the side, but we decided to share instead (she's 7). We maybe ate half of the volcano, but I'm satisfied. The nachos were $15.99 and i know would have spent a lot more for less food elsewhere. I got the blended Who's to Blame margarita. $9.75 Not the place is done at regularly, but on vacation with few other gluten-free choices, absolutely.
Food was reasonable and my celiac girlfriend didn't have any after affects from eating here, but we found the staff to be quite rude. We first ordered drinks at the bar, but after the bar staff couldn't understand 'coke' 3 times, he just didn't serve us the drink. When I went over after we ordered food (and forgetting to order the drink) I was told I'd have to ask the waitress and waited another 15 minutes or order it.
We tried Margaritaville on the Vegas Strip last night. There is a good selection on the gf menu. Our waitress, Tess, caught my mistake of trying to order from the vegetarian side instead of the gf side. This small act saved me from a world of hurt. I'm so grateful for that. i ordered the volcano nachos. Do not order this if you are by yourself, you will never finish it. the portion is HUGE! And delicious. They have a dedicated fryer and are very careful & conscious when prepping food. I am so happy I have options when traveling. I am highly sensitive intolerant to gluten.
On holiday from the UK, the server had knowledge of gluten free items (I'm celiac) so have to be completely gluten free, great menu choice, gluten fee bun and nachos.
Cheeseburger with gluten free bun, GF fries in separate frying. From GF menu. Did not get sick
Separate GF menu is always a good sign! I had a burger in a GF bun and fries. Delicious! Waitress seemed knowledgable enough and I did not have any reactions. I plan to go back while I'm in town and try the nachos.
Gluten free menu, good burger & fries.
First place that had a separate gluten free menu and I have been here for 3 days!!!
Our waitress, Claire, was very knowledgable. Made recommendations on some items to avoid on the gf menu since they were changing vendors and she wasn't sure they were safe. Had the cheeseburger on gf bun with sweet potato fries and it was good.
Overpriced for sure. Gf burger was good, but the nachos were not worth it. Drinks were good but tiny!
They have a special gf menu with different options, went for the gf burger with gf bun (hard to find in restaurants). It was good. Waiter Jeff knew what he was talking about and he was a total sweety. The others had the NY strip which was very good. Would go here again for sure.
The menu seems great. I am having the nachos (amazing) without the queso (queso not gluten free). The chips are in a dedicated fryer. However if you want to eat rooftop and want anything other than nachos it is not available. This is why I gave 3 stars. After waiting 15 minutes I found this out. Frustrating but now we know 👍 should have asked.
They are Gluten friendly but most of our group felt ill after eating there. No one else was gluten free just myself. The food was ok we think it was a bad day. Also they were out of brownies.
Really enjoyed my gluten free eating experience here. Had the fish sandwich and the bun was good and the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer. Waitress was knowledgeable. Fun and safe place to eat on the strip!
Fun place to go in vegas for a burger and fries (they have a dedicated fryer!!!) affordable too.
Great food waiter even offered to make my husband's nachos gluten free so I could enjoy some with my gluten free dinner.
brilliant great service, very friendly, got a gluten free menu, i had a burger and sweet fries best burger iv ever had, had a gluten free bun too, there buns are the best, we're definitely going back..
Very good the wait staff understood all about being gluten free. They also have a dedicated fryer.
Absolutely brilliant went twice. Gluten free menu available and the nachos were superb cannot recommend enough .
Based on reviews, I was excited to eat somewhere close to my hotel (100% rating by celiac). They seemed very aware of CD/GF needs. Unfortunately, I got sick and was not as active in the work conference I was attending due to this. Can't say someone else might not get sick as everyone is unique but I have CD and did!
love this place. gf buns and dessert of brownie. awesome. great gf options
First time here. Great service, drinks and food! Jeff was a very attentive waiter ;) I loved how they presented my food and said "gluten free" first which made me feel very comfortable! Jeff was extremely knowledge about gluten free options..including drinks. Will definitely visit again...and again...and again.
Designated fryer for fries and the burger had a gf bun. Very good. I have bad reactions to gliten.
the gluten free menu was a decent sized menu, our waitress wasn't very friendly but she did her job. I got the catch of the day which was grouper, it came with a choice of mango salsa or lime butter sauce, I got the mango salsa. the fish had no flavor and was burnt on the outside but was alright, it comes with island rice which I thought tasted weird so I didn't eat it and green beans which were pretty good. it's a nice place to eat with a fun atmosphere but I don't know if I'll go back.
Great service. Separate GF menu. Wait staff very knowledgable.
I have a gluten, dairy and soy allergy. The buns are made locally for this location. Confirmed with the manager the only allergen in the buns were eggs. Delicious burger with a side salad. Couldn't get the veggies steamed cause they come pepackaged with butter. Didn't get sick!!
GF buns, appetizers, entrees, and 1 dessert. The restaurant itself is very loud, but its Vegas.
Service was great and loved my burger. No extra charge for gluten free hamburger buns.
Got sick after eating here
Decent gf menu, including gf buns. Food was ok, not the best, but nice to have options.
Service was good, they ensured me all was GF had a chix sandwich and fries...very tasty.
Visited here 2/3/15. Server was very knowledgeable about celiac and gluten. Manager checked in with me regarding my options. The best thing? Their sweet potato fries are gfree! I didn't get sick and went back again before leaving Vegas.
Separate menu. Server was very knowledgable and my burger and fries were awesome
The MargaritaVille has an atmosphere to die for. The Margaritas were great (of course), and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Sadly, helpfulness and accommodation only goes so far. I ordered the nachos and I have never been so sick in my life. Thanks to MargaritaVille my last night in Vegas was not enjoying the strip but rather being glued to the toilet.
Awesome cheeseburgers, wings, shrimp!
Nachos were delicious but is plenty for the entire table.
Delicious cheeseburger, chicken sandwich and volcano nachos. Knowledgeable staff and who were willing to answer any questions I had about gf preparation. Safe for sensitive celiac!
They had gf menu at check-in. Ask there before going in. They don't have the gf menus further in. Waitress was not knowledgeable and seems unsure but she got a manager and they were helpful but always give same warning about they can't guarantee no cross contamination because non gf food there do but they take proper precautions. I got a burger with gf buns and fries and it was excellent and I did hot get sick.
Volcano nachos are to die for!
had a separate, gluten free menu! wonderful to feel safe on vacation.
The chicken sandwich was very good! The bun was a little hard, but softened as I ate it. The fries were good as well. It was nice to feel "normal" and be able to eat a meal out. Not tons of options on the strip, so this is a good good to if you are in the area and want American food. The atmosphere is a little cheesy, but luckily wasn't as loud as I expected.
Great food! Service was great. We went 3 times, once for dinner and twice for their gluten free brownie dessert. Cannot say enough about how good the food and service was. Very knowledgable.
dedicated fryer. Gf bread. Very good place for burger and fries. Ignore bad reviews from other people just need to talk to a manager which you should with any restaurant.
They have a gluten free menu, but not very extensive. Burger was average and fries too. Said they have separate fryers and areas to prevent cross contamination. Gf bun was pretty good but shrimp appetizer was horrible Do Not Order it! Waiter not very knowledgable but tried.
Spoke with the head chef and he said all gluten free food is prepared in a separate area. The cooks even put on gloves. The gf bun is delicious. Their own recipe.
Atmosphere was fun. Volcano nachos were very tasty. Knowledgeable staff.
food was generic fries taste like store bought but were gf. the margarita frozen was nasty but in a pinch it is gf. the atmosphere is pretty good
Had such a great experience here the first time, I went back later that week on my vacation for a second meal. Told the waitress I was Celiac and she assured me everything was prepared separately even the fries. Fries were absolutely delicious and the cheeseburger had a GF bun so no lettuce wrap! It was great. My only complaint was the second time I went back, it was pretty late at night and my waitress told me they didn't have the GF menu available that late. I told her we would have to leave then. She went and checked with the manager who said he would only be able to do a cheeseburger and fries (again) . Was hoping to try something new the 2nd time, but it was still delicious regardless!
Limited options, but... I give a solid 4 stars because even though they we're not 'certified' gf, with no dedicated menu, they have a gf dedicated fryer for french fries, had gf bun for my cheeseburger in paradise! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!
I he visited the Vegas and Nashville without any issues. The nachos are delicious!
Maybe it was this waitress but she was very confused on what the gf options were . We made modifications to our order & she made rude sarcastic remarks like " oh boy this is going to be fun" . in the end our orders were mixed up & we weren't sure if what we got was really gf. Nothing marked like the last time I went to this restaurant. Not sure I would come back here
Ate here three time while in Vegas on my last trip. Never had a problem. They have a dedicated gluten free menu and their fries are gluten free too Nothing like a Gluten Free Cheeseburger in Paradise!
just had a cheese burger on GF bun with fries. it was delicious! would definitely go back. it was about $13 which is the same price as their non-gf burgers.
Waitress and staff were very knowledgeable. When they brought out the nachos and my gluten free burger they specifically said "gluten free" when putting it in front of me, which always makes me feel better. Very good cheeseburger in paradise and fries.
I have eaten here once and had the mahi mahi with rice and it was delightful! Would definitely go back for it again and save room for there gluten free dessert next time.
I am extremely gluten intolerant and always have anxiety about eating at restaurants. I read reviews about Margaritaville in Las Vegas and was very excited about the gluten free menu. I brought my group of friends to the restaurant and explained my food issues to the server. Usually I expect servers to be somewhat reassuring, however he was not reasurring and seemed rushed and therefore unpleasant. I ordered a gluten free burger, and was really excited about it. However when the food came, on my plate was a patty with a thin piece of cheese and a stack of lettuce. The waiter told me then that the kitchen was out of GF buns but that I could just wrap the patty in lettuce, which is not my cup of tea. I said no thank you and ordered a grilled chicken dish with rice and seasonal veggies instead. My replacement food took about 20 minutes to arrive. I watched everyone else eat. The rest of my party had finished eating and most of their plates had been cleared by the time I got my food. When the food came it was awful. The chicken was seriously overdone - so much so that I had trouble cutting it. The "seasonal vegetables" were rubbery, oily and flavourless string beans and the rice tasted like it had been cooked the previous week and re-heated. After reading so many positive GF reviews I was extremely disappointed.
Great selection, GF BUNS for burgers, fries are great, very aware staff. Highly, highly, suggest this if you're near/on the strip.
5 stars for the volcano nachos...a meal for two! Otherwise, very limited choices.
We were told they couldn't find the GF menu but that they had one. The waitress came back from the kitchen with a verbal list of what was safe - bunless burger. Not the best experience.
They don't have a separate menu like other places and all the waiter offered was hamburger with a GF bun and side salad instead of fries. He said the fries have gluten at this location. Then my salad came out with croutons on it. Hello duh.
Our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it! The atmosphere can be a bit noisy, as a heads up... choose your seating wisely. Menu-wise, they have dedicated gluten-free AND vegetarian menus! Such a plus. The green beans (vegetarian option) impressed us the most. Not overly salty or buttery, just a refreshingly balanced seasoning.
I recently visited Pigeon Forge and decided to try Margaritaville. We ended up going twice during our trip. Our waitress was very nice and seemed to know about the importance of Gluten free food. I had the cheeseburger in Paradise and never got sick. Except for eating too much. Our second visit was a little different. Our waiter was nice and seemed to know a little about gluten free but he told me that someone would come and talk to me. What I am guessing to be the kitchen manager or someone along those lines came out and said, "so we have a gluten allergy / someone with Celiac Disease over here?" I said yes. he said " well you have no need to worry, just sit back and relax and we will take care of you. I will personally bring your food to you." i said thank you and we waited for our food. the food came out great and once again I didn't get sick other than eating too much. I plan to return during my next trip.
Awesome selection and knowledgeable staff
Drunken shrimp skillet was very good! It came with gf bread and being able to dip it in the garlic butter sauce made me feel like a real person (I hope that makes sense) I also had the burger and fries, very good and even a gf dessert option that I'm currently too full to try but is a brownie and ice cream.
Fries are prepared in a dedicated fryer. Son didn't get sick. He had the burger with a gluten free bun & he said the bun was "decent" but was thrilled to be able to have fries!
I had the chicken sandwich and French fries. They use Udi's buns for the bread and they also have a dedicated fryer. They also said they have a separate kitchen area where they prep all of the gluten free food. The waitress was very knowledgable and very kind in answering in questions I had! The food was wonderful and I no sickness 😍😍
Enjoyed the GF grouper sandwich on a flavorful bun. Avocado and bacon accompanies the sandwich. gF fries too! I believe our server 'took care of me'.
Waitress was very helpful and understanding regarding my Celiac's disease. I ordered the Cheeseburger in Paradise on GF bun and fries. They use a dedicated fryer for the fries and they're always GF! It was very good and I felt "normal" being able to eat a bun with my burger!!! Recommend!
Two members of our party have Celiac. One ordered a gluten-free hamburger with fries and the other ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The gluten-free burger was prepared correctly however the salad came with croutons on it. The croutons were not gluten-free. The manager was sincere in his apology, however the damage was done. The manager did comp us a gluten-free brownie for the mistake. Aside from the croutons, the gf burger was good and so was the service.
They had a lot of options and the fries were delicious! I am very sensitive and had no problems.
They didn't have a gluten free menu available, but the waitress was able to tell me what was gluten free, including drinks. I had the Volcano Nachos and they were super tasty. And I didn't get sick so that's a bonus! I was told their fries are gluten free too as they have a separate fryer.
Saw online that they have a gluten free menu, which was the reason my family decided to come here. Got to the restaurant and found out that they do not have a printed out version. Spent 20 minutes on my phone to pull up the menu online only to find out that I originally saw the menu for the NASHVILLE location. They have different menus for each restaurant. We payed for our drinks and left. Felt like a bait and switch. Probably could have eaten but I don't like giving my money to a restaurant that makes me feel like I've been tricked. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. gluten free or not. (only gave one star because I had to)
Had the taco salad and felt sick afterwards. Don't think it was gluten free. The chips made me feel very bloated. Don't think they are gluten free.
Excellent experience here, twice. Separate prep area for gluten free foods, and follows proper prep protocol (fresh gloves, utensils, etc.). Drinks are pricey - they trade off Buffett's name obviously - but you're in the tourist section of the harbor, so I lived with it. Fun fact: Jimmy's sister Lucy Buffett owns Lulu's in Destin. Check them out too.
We went here for our last night of our family vacation....Huge mistake! They had a 2hr wait but we were willing to wait due to the fact that my sister and two yr old daughter both have celiac disease and had heard this place was good about cross contamination. We had a large group of 16. 6 of those being children. When they took us to our table they split us up (which was fine) but both tables were dirty. When we asked if they needed to be cleaned a passing waiter said "That's as good as it gets." Really??? Ok so we cleaned the table and sat down. My sister and I made sure we sat at the same table to make things easier about the gluten free order. Unfortunately it took them 15 mins to take our drink orders. The other half of our group had their drinks before we could order ours. The waiter did seem knowledgable about gluten free options and was able to assure us that the food was prepared in a separate area. We didn't get our food until 45 mins later! When the food was brought out my sisters nachos were wrong and had to be fixed. My daughter's hamburger was also wrong but by this point she was half starved and I didn't want to mess with it. The waiter explained to the other table that he was normally a bartender but they were short staffed which may have been the problem that the service was slow and food was wrong but still when you worry that things have to be done right so your not horribly sick later than this service is not what you want. I don't recommend this place! To expensive for the taste of the food and the type of service! I can't recommend that this place is celiac friendly when I'm scared in the horribly prepared food and the shortness of staff that they didn't screw up our food and contaminate it.
Stopped here for lunch a few days ago. Had a great experience. Staff was knowledgeable about gf and were very accommodating - no eye rolls or acting like it was a burden. Had the Cheeseburger in Paradise with fries. It was pretty decent - not the best burger I've ever had, but it was a good solid, SAFE gluten free meal. Would recommend.
My family and I went here for dinner despite another person saying they were contaminated. We did Not share his experience. We had a wonderful meal! I had the fish sandwich on a gluten-free bun and the French fries. ( Yes they have a dedicated fryer) We ended up eating there twice while in Gatlinburg and both times had a great experience with knowledge staff who were very attentive to our gf needs.
Very accommodating to our food allergies. Out server was nice and checked on several items for my boys. They are gluten, dairy, and soy free and I am gluten free. They each had a child's hamburger plain with no cheese. One had lettuce on his. The had apple slices for sides. I had the chicken with mango salsa. They loved the burgers and my food was excellent.
As a celiac vegetarian, it's hard to find options on most meat-based GF menus. Margaritaville is similar, but the server allowed me to get the chili on the side of my nachos so my boyfriend could have it instead. The nachos were great, and HUGE, and apparently safe from cross contamination! I really appreciated that the bartender was cautious when I ordered my drink, as he wasn't sure the watermelon flavoring was GF. The only hiccup was when our food was delivered all together – the server ended up dropping a crouton from my boyfriend's salad into the edge of the serving plate my food was on. I saw it immediately and removed it before it could touch my food, but it would have been a nightmare had it fallen into the actual food. I know the restaurant is busy, but this is why it's helpful to have a second server or manager deliver allergy-prepped food!
Celiac / gluten-free review Fantastic service and concern for gluten free. Not my favorite food or prices but will support regardless due to fantastic diligence and support for rating gluten free. Even had dedicated gluten free menu. + Gluten free chili nachos!!! 😃
Ordered from the gluten free menu the volcano nachos for an appetizer. Was told that the gluten free chips were fried in a different dedicated fryer. 15 mins from my first bite and I was in a full blown wheat/gluten ingest reaction not just a contamination. We had to leave and immediately return to the hotel room. Worst reaction I've had in 15 years of diagnosis. Would not recommended this to anyone with celiac.
Our waitress was awesome and very helpful with helping me with gluten free alcohol drink. she went to ask the bartender about some gluten free drinks I could have. she even made sure to tell me that the french fries were gluten free and were fried in a separate fryer then any of the other foods.
I've been living with a pretty severe wheat allergy for close to 10 years now and have had a wide array of restaurant experiences some not so great but never truly bad until eating here. I am typically very skeptical of trying new places but I was in Destin on vacation and this is one of the few places that seemed to have enough good reviews for me to try it. I wish I hadn't. A few hours after eating something from the gluten free menu I was feeling pretty bad; not horrible to the point that they botched the whole gluten free thing but more like a cross contamination issue. I would suspect the fries as the culprit but can't be totally sure. I wish I could say that I had a great meal and got sick but alas I can't. The meal itself was pretty bad. I had the flat iron steak and somehow it came out tasting repulsive. Some of this can probably be attributed to it coming out rare (like still mooing rare) when I asked for medium but not totally. It tasted horrible either way. I would have sent it back to the kitchen had the waitress come around before everyone else in my party finished their food. Which brings me to the service portion of of this review which can pretty much be summed up as appalling. We saw our waitress maybe 5 times and she was very unfriendly throughout. So just to sum up everything I've said... Gluten Free friendly: no Food quality: terrible Service: appalling Needless to say I won't ever try any of the restaurants in this chain again. Maybe I just had a bad experience and all the stars aligned to create a truly awful time but I've shared my experience and you can decide if eating here is worth it.
Great gluten free menu, even had pricing listed. No reaction and I'm very sensitive.
If you like fish, get the grouper sandwich here! It comes on a super delicious GF bun with some heavenly tropical coleslaw on top... It was amazing! I had mine with a side of fries and tried the GF brownie for dessert. The dessert was good, but a bit dry and crumbly. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and and great waterfront view 👍💕🌴
Went here with my daughter who is highly allergic to wheat and is thought to have celiac for appetizers and to listen to music. The people were all very nice and They have a very small gluten free menu from which we ordered the shrimp which came with gluten free bread. It seemed to be a very popular appetizer as many people ordered the same thing around us. When the server came out with our appetizer they were unsure who it was for. Finally decided it was for us and gluten free. I questioned them multiple times about it and they insisted it was gluten free. Well as we were eating my daughter started to get an allergic reaction. We had to run 4 blocks in the rain to get Benadryl until we could make it to the emergency room. She also had a rebound reaction a few days later. She is now experiencing all the horrible symptoms that come along with a glutening and it ruined our trip to Nashville. Would not recommend eating here unless they change how they mark gluten free plates in the kitchen.
It's the epitome of chain restaurants, but the food is safe and the staff is well trained. I've eaten at Margaritaville at least half a dozen times and have never gotten sick. My order was wrong once and the manager walked the 2 blocks to my place to hand deliver a safe version of my carry out order along with a sincere apology a promise to review the importance of detail in gf orders. Plus, I can actually have fries!
Great bun on my burger! Burger itself was a bit over cooked and service was friendly but slow. The waitress double checked at the bar to find me a GF margarita and it was fantastic!
Great meal! The gf taco salad is good. Made with chili and not over spicy. I also had the gf brownie sundae which was terrific! Hostess asked if we needed a gf menu before we were even seated. My meal was delivered by a separate waitstaff member but at the same time.
