OMG 😳 this is vegan and gluten free ice cream heaven!

Everything is vegan 🌱 and gluten free. Kate, the owner, makes all her ice cream 🍦 Fabulous gourmet flavors and traditional favorites. I enjoyed several flavors in the triple ice cream bowl.

Love the seasonal flavors too!

Such a treat to walk into an ice cream shop, order, and eat any ice cream and cone on the menu! Definitely make the trip out to Kate’s.

Our family ❤ Kate's Icecream. Not only is it amazingly delicious, gluten, and dairy free, but their staff is very kind and fast to answer any safely questions regarding their products used. I reached out to them because the flour they use in the cones and cookie dough are made with oat flour. Here was their response, "It isn't certified, but it is mulled in a dedicated gluten free production facility and each batch run is tested under 10ppm of gluten.  We source from Bob's Red Mill and they have a rigid food safety plan in place to ensure all allergen protocols are conducted correctly."

I hadn’t had a waffle cone in over 20 years; I almost cried. The ice cream was absolutely wonderful, and I would not have guessed it was dairy free. The mouth feel was perfect, and it had just the right amount of soft and melt on a hot day. Loved it and will return often!!!

Seriously- what a treat! We went to Kate’s after not wanting to wait in line at Salt and Straw.

This place was fantastic. It’s dedicated gf, plant-based icecream.

Under every flavor of icecream you can read all of the ingredients… this was super helpful, as it helped me pick which flavor was best for me. Some flavors had safflower oil in them, so since I saw that, I could steer away from those and pick from flavors without safflower oil, for example.

My friend and I split Orange creamsicle and pistachio with rainbow sprinkles. Sooo good!

I’ve been to Kate’s a couple times, and omg. Such great ice cream flavors! So creamy that you wouldn’t know they were plant-based. And everything is gluten-free, always, including the cones, cookies, etc.

This is extremely good non dairy ice cream AND is dedicated gluten free to boot! Win win in my book. I loved the pistachio ice cream in a GF waffle cone (they make the cones in house). We also had a house made GF brownie sundae with strawberry ice cream and chocolate sauce. Absolutely amazing! We drove back the next week to try more flavors. The marionberry pie was my second choice, but my spouse loved the chocolate and coffee flavors. This is a must try for everyone, dairy free and not dairy free alike! We also had an adorable experience watching a baby try the DF ice cream for her very first time. Her smile and giggle was priceless. :)

It’s a bit expensive, but so worth the treat! Gluten free waffle cones and the most amazing Dairy-Free (mostly Coconut milk) ice cream concoctions! They were very busy on the summer night my family visited but we love having a dessert spot we can all enjoy!

Took my whole family here. My daughter and I are celiac and she was so excited to have cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone!! All the ice cream we sampled were delicious. Including an adults only Pina Colada! So nice for celiacs to eat cookies and cream, Marionberry cobbler and chocolate brownie! Feel lucky to live near this establishment.

Very tasty! Everything is gluten free and dairy free! Unfortunately, the gluten free waffle cones and baked goods (which are in some of the ice cream flavours) have oats in them, which makes them a no-go for me.

They do have a notebook to check for other allergens and will get you a fresh scoop of ice cream from the back if you need. Super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Have you gone here yet, Portlandians? If the answer is no, then I have no idea what's keeping you from indulging in the creamiest ice cream ever magically conjured from cashews. Or really from anything for that matter. This place is a treasure for everyone, but especially for those of us with dietary restrictions. There isn’t a crumb of gluten or drop of dairy in this place. (Yes, I know gluten comes in more than crumb form, folks.) She started this place for her sister and catered to her food allergies for the benefit of all ice cream loving humankind.

We loved the cookies and cream and mint fudge. We are going back for the marionberry cobbler and rose water cardamom almond. That's right. You can be down home or eclectically decadent here. Don't skip the crisped to perfection gluten-free waffle cones either. If you want to feel better about eating such sinfully scrumptious fare, then bike here. I know it made us feel like we earned this truly tantalizing treat.

My partner has Celiacs and we’ve been now two days straight (probably tomorrow will be three days straight) without incident of course. It’s such a relief and a delight.
