We had a nice meal here with our kiddos. The server was extremely knowledgeable about celiac and marked everything safe on the menu for us. They don’t have GF bread but brought cucumber slices for the dips. If you have a kiddo who is not a super adventurous eater, I would say the options are a little bit limited, but that’s not really their fault of course. Our son ate chicken skewers and tsatsiki with cucumbers.

Waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten free meals/kitchen prep. Would be nice if items on the menus were marked as gluten free.

I have dined here twice- both times the staff was very knowledgeable about what items are GF, they made a note that I have Celiac and I did not get sick. Most of the menu is naturally GF, the nonGF items are pretty obvious (pie of the day, feta wrapped in phylo, breaded zucchini chips etc). My favorites are the roka salad, imam (eggplant dish) and gigandes (lima bean dish). I have also tried the horiatiki salad, saganaki garides (shrimp dish), souvlaki chicken, and patates lemonates-all were great!

Loved this place pre-celiac diagnosis and yes many items are gluten free naturally. However, I do not have faith in the extent of the standards in place to prevent cross-contamination. A dish described as having pasta was not included on the list of gluten items sent by email and notwithstanding declaration of wheat and gluten allergies on every item ordered online our take out order came with a lot of house bread. I would love to hear from anyone who has better knowledge on this subject as I desperately want Kava to be on my “safe” list.

I have celiac and eat here happily and safely often. Food is mostly inherently GF and staff is kind and caring.

Just called this place to learn more about GF options and cross contamination protocols. The manager listed a lot of foods that are inherently GF but the wheels fell off when I asked about cross contamination in the kitchen. He said all food is already prepped so I don’t have to worry about it. I pressed for more info and he said meat is separate from vegetables which doesn’t make any sense. I’d be too scared to go here.
Edit: not a fake review, Mike. 100% real review based on my phone call with a manager.
Fake review from Erin below. This place is legit. Went here with my family for my brother’s birthday and the food was delicious and safe.
The tzatziki and souvlaki were incredible!

Chef and waiter were very knowledgeable and friendly when it came to pointing out GF options. Most of the menu is GF and I was able to try a number of small plates. They also had a delicious GF dessert (the Greek yogurt with honey and berries). The food was excellent and I had no gluten reaction at all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The imam was my favorite dish of the night.
