Our first Waiter said the gluten free fryer wasn't going but picked out the things I could eat safely. A second Waiter confirmed there was a dedicated fryer and what a treat that was. I tried fried oysters for the first time. Also had the brussel sprouts that were very good and the steak and frites. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. My cocktail was also the best I've had so far in the city. Good job, Luke!!

Update: I was sick after I left. I'm leaving their rating because it's possible it was the milk in the sauce. But I wanted to note it in case others have issues. It was such an enjoyable meal.

The waiter we had was very knowledgeable about gluten and assured us that the fryer is dedicated. There are plenty of options on the menu that are safe and they are happy to do modifications! We started with the brussel sprouts appetizer which is gluten free if you ask for the sauce on the side. I had the steak frites as recommended by a previous reviewer and can confirm it is delicious! The meat was very flavorful. I do think the fries tasted just like McDonald’s French fries which for me was a great change up and crispy!

Was here for breakfast. The food was delicious and the server was able to identify GF options on the menu. When she wasn’t sure about something, she was happy to check. The fryer was safe, and the fries were excellent. The whole menu was small, so not a huge variety of options but it was pretty easy to figure out what was likely to be safe when viewing the menu ahead of time.

Food solid but server took the easy way out… told me salads and trout were the only things that I could eat. Read in other reviews that I could have a modified shrimp and grits so pretty bummed to pick a place that was less than advertised.

The food here was great and most of the menu was gluten free or could be made gluten free (the shrimp and grits was amazing with whatever mod they made to make it gluten free). Servers were nice both times we are there and conscientious about it.

This place was very nice. They did not have a gluten free menu and nothing was marked. But staff was knowledgeable, answered many questions and pointed things out, and several dishes were able to be modified to be completely gluten free.

Kitchen isn't dedicated but staff will take precautions. I had the shrimp appetizer, pork chops and red potatoes. It was all super good. I had no issues afterwards. Would definitely recommend and eat there again!

Waiter was very knowledgeable about gf and what modifications could be made. Lots of delicious options.

Enjoyed this restaurant so much that I ate here twice in one week! They didn’t have a gluten free menu but the staff was very knowledgeable and they were able to make a lot of the items on the menu gluten free. Great service and wonderful quality of food!

Absolutely delicious!!!! Everything was so good, I highly recommend Luke. Service was amazing, even the kids menu was great! (Our son had a fantastic $10 kids hamburger and French fries, we brought a bun, would have been fine alone I asked for lettuce, could have been used for a bun). Regular menu was amazing, they are great with GF and all of my additional food issues.

I had the drum fish with crabmeat served over veggies and a eggplant purée sauce. It was the BEST fish dish I’ve ever eaten. The waiter and manager were so accommodating. They even have a dedicated fryer for French fries. Will definitely be back!

Staff was very helpful. asked the chef questions who took it very seriously and pointes out some items had small amounts of malt vinegar. with a Huge raw menu there is plenty to eat here. and it was all well done and excellent quality!

We ate lunch here while on vacation and the staff was VERY knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free options. Everything in their raw seafood menu was safe to eat, the salads, and most of the mains were safe with some modifications.

Our waitress went back to the kitchen to speak with the chef about what on the menu could be altered or was safe as is and came back and went over everything in detail with us.

The food was one of the best meals we had on our trip and we would absolutely go back.

Absolutely a great place. Not many options but what they do have was delicious. If you let them know you have Celiac, they will go out of their way to make you comfortable and safe.

Wow! This place was amazing! Lots of GF menu items, and the server was knowledgeable and helpful. I had shrimp and grits with crab. Soooo good and no reaction.

We were the first guests at 9am before our flight home, and we were so happy to wrap up our weekend in New Orleans with an incredible Cajun breakfast. Options for celiac are limited, but they know what they’re doing. I ordered the shrimp and grits - and they were definitely the best I’ve ever had. Plump, pillowy, cheesy grits, topped with fresh local shrimp and a creole gravy made without flour. And don’t miss an order of bacon to share - it’s exceptional. Service was kind, attentive and we felt well cared for.

Extremely eclectic menu. Nothing marked GF on me u but staff is quick to accommodate. Problem is they are way too cavalier in their knowledge of what’s in each dish. Got oysters which were fantastic and they can’t screw that up. Got the duck duck rice which was outstanding but it banged me up a bit. Something in the rice or how the duck is prepared, I assume. Fries were GF and delicious too.

Amazing food! They don’t offer a lot of GF options, but they know how to take care of you. They have a separate fryer for fries. Very knowledgeable staff. Would eat here again. (The burger is huge, so getting it without the bun is perfect!)

Eaten here three times this week because it's so delicious and celiac safe. Just tell your sever you're gf and they'll explain items on the menu that can be adjusted. Please don't be freaked out that the menu isn't labeled gf. This is a classy place and you'll be glad you ate here. Ps: I am a celiac .

Wow... Lüke's takes great care in prepping food for people with Celiac. They have an entirely separate kitchen for meal prep for gluten-free orders! Had the ribeye and roasted veggies-- was even able to order dessert! The dessert tasted so good I stopped eating it immediately, certain they were wrong and was so upset I might have been glutened--but days later now and I did not get sick!

Really wish I had finished that dessert.

Server was knowledgeable. I ate breakfast there. The creamy grits and cane syrup sausage were delicious. The coffee was some of the best that I had while in New Orleans. So many of the restaurants there made me feel bad for asking to be gluten free. The waiter treated me with such respect and kindness. Really top notch!

Fantastic! There was not separate GF menu and the items were not labeled, HOWEVER! They could make almost everything (with the exception of about 5 or 6 things) gluten free or provide a gluten free option. The Brussel sprouts are MUST try and they had shoestring fries! They had a dedicated frier!

Stopped in for happy hour and was thrilled to learn that the fried oysters were gluten free. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained that the oysters were breaded with corn meal and fried in a dedicated fryer. Also warned me that the French fries were not. He knew exactly which menu options were safe for celiacs. Had a great experience.

Told staff when we made the reservation, staff were all very knowledgeable. The menu is not large to begin with, but I was given several options for each course. Was very delicious!

Between the condescending server and the complete lack of awareness as to what "gluten" really means, I will never eat here again.

The server/bartender told me that "We are all about the carbs and bread here and so we don't have a lot." She didn't even ask the chef. She just asked another bartender. I should've left and am mad at myself that I didn't.

Long story involving great food but a horrible, horrible rest of the night very sick. Very, very sick. Going on day three...
